i feel you breh, Im not going to pretend to have the answers but one thing ive learned from my experiences is that patience and discipline are the 2 biggest keys. Find out what u want to do and create a plan and just follow it without quiting.

The hard part tho of course is never getting off track and sacrificing fun to work.

nikka you are an underachiever through and through.....

Your life in a nut shell

The fact that you feel like you're underachieving is actually a good thing in that you expect more of yourself (you'd be surprised how many don't). The next step then is to envision where you'd like to be and research the steps it takes to get there from your current position. The good news is that you're in your twenties so there's virtually no doors closed to you if you're willing to put in the work.

Gotta hold yourself to a realistic standard brehs :wow:

I do all the time. And it's true.
But people say it's because i try too hard to compare myself to my father and it's not healthy. :yeshrug:

Yeah they say that it's bad to compare yourself but it's also really hard not to. We're social beings, and we have always defined ourselves in relations to others. And the myth (especially post WW2) is that the children have to "make it" better than the parents. But it's a different world now, and we're at the end of that cycle. In Europe this is the first generation that has it worse than their parents, even though they have studied more, speak more languages, have more on the job training, are well-traveled, etc.

Also I think it's why more and more people need to have interests outside of "making it" professionnaly, because the corporate/pro world is designed in a specific way, and not everyone "fits" in it. So some need something outside of that in which they fit better (whether it be sports, arts, whatever really).

I just ate with this girl who was talking about the "office politics" at her job, and I swear it's like she was talking another language.

I know the coli is full of 6 certs 6 figures 6 acres 6 pawgs at 20 years old :whoa:
But in my mid - late 20's i feel like i wasted a lot of my time doing nothing but bullshyt, and now it's hard to go back and focus on real shyt. Sometimes i just want to give up and stop existing, but i know i can't give up.

All the time.

The instagram age is tough on millennials. Seeing what everyone else got on a regular basis.

But you cant worry about what other people have.

Life is about progression, and growth. And its never too late to do all the things you wish you had done when you were younger. You're not dead yet

Social media is tough on all age groups.

You've even got old brehs and brehettes trying to flex on one another on social media!

Don't even worry about girls breh, you ain't gonna get any as long as you don't feel good about yourself. That's a consequence, can't focus on that now.

Try to focus and what you like even if you don't think you can make a living out of it. Look at where you live, if it offers opportunities for training or whatnot. Try to think of what you do have instead of what you don't. Read. Those goofy dreams (what are those dreams?) might have something in them that can be worked upon. I don't want to sound like some motivational "live your dreams" bs but I think a lot of brehs (including myself) have been through some stuff here and could help you out to get on the track to something where you may be more satisfied with life.
I go to local community college as a part time student. I only do it to make mama happy via mood and taxes wise. I want to be a musician but I'm also trying to learn code to make an app or game that can make bank. I don't mean rich but bein a thousandaire that way is possible. Yes it's kinda selfish American dream dreamin type shyt but a 9 to 5 with student loan debt ain't living. I don't need to be rich or stunt, I just want to be free.

Keeping up with the joneses on a whole nother level :francis:

This is true.

nikkas at 22 thinking they're supposed to be traveling to exotic destinations and shyt and in having a vacay every other month!

That's not the real world.

Social media is warping reality for a lot of people.
