Dude that was the best part of the album. That Lo-Fi boom effect and just the rough mastering made the album stand out from the rest during the time. It truly felt like a old Kung Fu movie on channel 48 at 2pm in the afternoon.

Fair enough. I'm not huge on Liquid Swords but folks think it's the GOAT. The best thing about Wu albums is that there's one for everybody.

Don't get me wrong, I know what RZA was going for with that bumping low end grit with the NY compression and it was all part of his aesthetic but when you've came up on super crisp Quik, Dre, Battlecat, Cold 187um, DJ Aladdin, QDIII, DJ Pooh, Shock G etc.. production it was definitely a step back in terms of sonic quality. Would like to hear a crisply mastered version but it would probably sound uncanny and artificial in comparison to the waves embossed pon my awareness via repeated spins.

Like finally getting a CDQ/NO DJ of a joint you thought you'd never hear clean and your mind fills in the drops instead
