Does anyone here find it hard to find work

I mean as a black man in America, it feels like these white mufukkas try to find reasons not to hire you or am i just imagining it? Like, if you are applying for a place that you know you are really overqualified for, do you still get blocked for no good reason? It feels like this has been my experience, trying to interview with people that i can tell i am better than and then i don't hired. I am perfectly cordial and nice and everything but these fakkits either give some bullshyt excuse in the interview or i don't get the interview to begin with. I'm about to graduate school but still, this shyt irks me to no end to have skill-less scrubs looking down on me as if they're on my level.

If the application asks me to select my race and I select black, will they not call me for an interview? If I select "do not wish to disclose" and they bring me in for an interview only to realize I'm black, will they be mad and not hire me out of spite?

this is how i am. i sound white on the phone and when people meet me they are always surprised that it was me that they were talking to. I have seen ads on craigslist where they were basically hiring for everything and then i got there and it's some lil young-ass dude trying to hire me for the lowest position in the store when i had been applying for management. it's bullshyt. makes me not give a fukk about anyone anymore.

I chalk it up to pure luck but the last time I quit a job, I quit my previous job and I was when they pushed back my start date 6 months a few years back . A brotha was struggling personally but I'm married and my wife had a job . GMB


Don't let these devils get you down breh, just play their game for the time being and study them intimately. I know all of the bs to say, to get my foot in the door. These days I keep two jobs just in case they want to start that bs and I need to tell them to kiss my ass and mean it.

I apply for jobs I know damn well i should be getting, especially given my technical experience...and most of the time I don't even get the interview, when I do it's on some "we'll call you" bs
