Before you hit the nevada border going to vegas there is a shell gas station on cima road that has the best beef jerky. Made with brisket. Super tender.

Motherfukk that tender, soft shyt. That aint beef jerky. Thats beef.

Jerky should be dry, hard, and chewy. The dryer it is, the thinner the slices need to be so it doesn't break your teeth.

There is this place in a small town called Wausau, WI called Country Fresh Meats. They make these super thin, roughly 4X4 inch sheets of jerky that is super tough and chewy. But you can rip it off the square in little strips and chew it bit by bit. One little ass chuck lasts a while because you can just chew it and chew it, all that beef flavor and seasoning just straight tasting :noah:

As far as national brands go, O'berto Hickory Smoke flavor was the best but they have changed their formula and now they have that tender ass garbage when that shyt used to be nice and dry and stringy :camby:

There really aint a great national brand anymore, but I will still eat them all because even just "ok" beef jerky is one of the best snacks on the planet. Reduced Sodium Jack's Links is the easiest to find that tastes decent.

Everywhere...You never there.
Bacon Jerky :ohlawd:

Ok... ok... I'll raise you one Turkey Jerky... :wow:

But really, homemade deer jerky trumps all the retail shyt...I'm a jerky connoisseur, tho.

Jack Links is def. still holding it down... I fux with damn near all of 'em, tho. There are a few that are soooo far from jerky that I just have to pass up... But I'm not too much of a jerky -- or pseudo jerky -- snob.
