There is Herpes Simplex 1, which is oral and what the majority of population has, and Simplex 2, which is genital and exactly what the fukk you don’t want.
When people speak colloquially about Herpes they‘re talking about HSV-2, so let‘s not downplay it with “everyone has Herpes”![]()
Of all the Usher songs and you didn’t post:

Yeah but you can still get HSV1 down below. The virus isn’t subject to as many breakouts down there though. Same way you can have HSV2 on the lips, but won’t get as many breakouts. And someone said it right in this thread, how most doctors hate testing for the virus. People can literally live with the virus in dormant form, get tested with the results being too low to detect, have the virus and then pass it on to their partner who experience’s symptoms. Based off numbers alone, if you’ve slept with more than 5 individuals, you probably came into contact with hsv1 or 2, not saying you will get it though. There is Herpes Simplex 1, which is oral and what the majority of population has, and Simplex 2, which is genital and exactly what the fukk you don’t want.

That's not quite true. There's no significant difference between HSV-1 and HSV-2 except for where the virus tends to affect. HSV-1 tends to affect the mouth and face, and HSV-2 tends to affect the genitals, butt and thighs. However, you can get either virus ANYWHERE on your body. That's why someone with oral herpes can give someone else genital herpes via oral sex, or vice -versa.There is Herpes Simplex 1, which is oral and what the majority of population has, and Simplex 2, which is genital and exactly what the fukk you don’t want.

U sir got this 100% right… the pharma aspect is even bigger. This is coming from someone who has dr’s, nurses and pharmaceutical reps in my family. Big pharma is a major contributor to the stigmaThat's not quite true. There's no significant difference between HSV-1 and HSV-2 except for where the virus tends to affect. Herpetic whitlow is when you get herpes on your fingers. Also, herpes is more likely to affect any areas of the body that has mucous membranes such as the mouth, genitals, anus, eyes and nose.
Herpes only has a stigma in modern day thanks to Big Pharma
