Does anyone on here consider themselves "non-binary"?

I was checking out what's trending on Twitter and there is a hashtag #ImReallyBlack

I was curious, so I checked it out, and it turns out that it's a whole bunch of black artists.

Anyway, I was surprised by how many refer to themselves as "non-binary". Does anyone here call themselves "non-binary" or have younger family members that do?

Lol no. I know a couple in IRL though as well as a couple trans people and they all have some pretty severe mental illnesses. Well one is relatively normal but they still have their moments

Nobody in my immediate family but then again, people, especially black people didn't always have all these 'options' so I'm sure I have family members that might have gone that route, an older cousin in particular. I have friends that do though, kids that I have mentored as well.

I’m not, but living in the NYC area you meet a lot of people who identify as non-binary or inter-gender.


Personally I don’t care if you want to call yourself a baked potato. If you want me to identify you as a shoe, thats fine.

She's in the wrong then. She should've had a simple conversation with you instead of getting mad and thats what a lot of people do unfortunately.

She needs to understand that for most of our life we were used to saying him/her so its going to take some time to adjust.
