It's hard for me to ever not go with Illmatic as the goat album

But LAD might be the goat
It just has more content there is just so much substance packed into LAD

I'm still hearing new shyt listening to LAD like "oh wait now I know what he meant with that line"

It's the darkest album too even the pop hits are filled with hard lyrics

Everytime I listen to it I get sucked into that dark place biggie was in

No lie, he could have spit those hypnotize verses on any hard beat today and they would be considered top notch bars!

one thing about bad boy that was underrated was that on the "Pop singles" they were still SPITTIN with multis and all of that. Just look at Mase's "Feel so good" or "Been around the world" as well as "Mo Money Mo Problems", none of those CLUB JOINTS had any reference about "sippin on so and so", or "being fresh and sittin next to, take you home sh*t", they were actually SPITTIN! Then you have the catchy hook and bam! the single was official

lookin' at the track list right now, 1 thing that's pretty impressive is the fact that it's a double cd with a total of 24 tracks with only 8 songs havin' features :damn:

That's unheard of nowadays. On a 12 track single album 8 collabos would be normal now

Yeah a primary reason I love LAD...it's like a gauntlet. Like Diddy and the Hitmen put beats together and were like "OK, let's see what you can do with this."

I feel like it was a one of a kind album by a versatile lyricist at his zenith. Diverse content, diverse flows, diverse moods...

Man it's crazy how BIG made came out with 3 discs of non-skip tracks while he was alive. I agree with Juelz not that it was the best album ever but that it was better than RTD. I do think that it was the best album of balancing commercial tracks with the more hardcore ones.
