if u dont like him thats fine - but yall nikkaz need to STOP trying yo rewrite history

the fact that u posted
He wasn't considered the nicest dude out breh.
is so ridiculous & asinine that i really hope your just trolling
:snoop:

Yes....because a guy from NY named "kingofnyc" with a BIG avatar is the paragon of objectivity. No bias whatsoever I'm sure.

I don't think it's possible for this to get any more clichéd. Maybe if a poster from Cali named "westsideforever" with a Pac avatar shows up to argue with you.

THIS.

whats funny is, if biggie lived, he would've caught all sorts of criticism for LAD. similar to the flack nas was catching for IWW.

but because biggie unfortunately died right before the album, it was widely accepted as some goat chit. and all of the album's detractors stayed silent out of respect, it seemed.

his biggest critics try to state this nonsense
unfortunately the logic just dosnt work

his 1st single off his 1st album was a straight jack move from 'mtume juicy fruit'
not your typical hip hop track from a hardcore artist

:sas1: if u dont know / now u know :sas2:

Too much yelling in the first half of RTD for it to be better than LAD. Now had it been like the second half then we could have an argument.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
:yeshrug:
i hear dudes say this ALL da time

problem is... i dont know 1 single female that dosnt love that track & im talking from a wide range
I don't really care what females like tho. Well certain females anyway. Us catering all our music to thots n shyt is the reason for the lack of skill and content running thru music now. That demographic is more about what's catchy than the actual artistry. And that's with damn near every form of art. I never said I didn't like the song. But it's not a quality song bruh. The song that they sampled >>>>>>. It's not like they flipped the beat or anything and it's not a lyrical masterpiece either. It's a funny song. Nothin more. Nothin less.

Na jay and nas along with 50 fab and now kendrick lamar have stated they use this album as blueprints and inspiration

If you call those rappers underachievers and not successful then idk what 2 say

fabolous is THE EPITOMY of an underachiever.

jay-z is on record saying that he dumbed down for dollars.
50 cent is basically on record saying the same thing.

nas probably just said that to be nice. what album besides maybe "i am" followed this blueprint?

Kendrick? I don't know & don't care. dude is wild average.

breh - biggie n puff came up with the perfect formula to make a successful hip hop album (a song like this, featuring a female rapper just has to be on the album for the formula to work)
so im not trying to argue with u on the quality , all im saying is females love that song

its like HOE cake

hoes gotta eat too

They definitely had the right formula but that shyt was west coast influenced, it was Death Row influenced

That's why I love when NY heads big Biggie up but try to shyt on Cali...

Funk samples left and right, it was such a marked departure from the NY sound, but it made Biggie a universal artist

Might also explain why hes one of my favourite rappers ever

:ohhh:

Word up. Literally no Nas album aside from I Am I can think of that followed it's and that album itself was switched up cause of bootlegging. It was gonna be a double CD tho so yea. Alotta nikkas was feelin it after Big and Pac died and Nas was one of em. Which explains his homage on the album. Aside from that I don't see it. And I don't see it AT ALL from Kendrick.

yea. that's why I take most interviews with a grain of salt.

a lot of rappers will cite the generic go-to names as influences for P.R. purposes while most of their real influences rarely get mentioned - if mentioned at all.

everybody is not influence by 2pac, biggie & jay-z, but these interviews will have you thinking that. man I hate rap sometimes.

Lol word. Kendrick stands out like a sore thumb to me for this shyt. He will cite Pac n all that shyt. Yet he sharks the shyt outta Andre 3K's style and he barely mentions him. Andre was even in the session for bytch Don't Kill My Vibe. He still doesn't mention him. He doesn't mention Bone Thugs either even tho he got alotta influence from them especially on Section 80. Everytime u ask him. It's generic answers like Pac and Biggie. And other west coast artists he doesn't sound anything like.

yup.

I don't even pay attention to interviews anymore when it comes to influence.

I just go by the ear test.
