I heard the same things said verbatim about Stephen Curry in college
Steph was inherently more productive and had more in game gravity plus he had easily identifiable high level skills with just his ability to shoot off the dribble and the catch plus actually play PF semi efficiently.
I don’t see any of that in Emoni Bates. He seems like a project and yes I would spend a late 1st on him (20-end if the first) if I had a good player dev track record.
yea...Steph took Davidson to the fukkin Elite 8, had the competing against P5 schools all yr and was a basket from beating KU. Stupid to compare him to Bates whose team has a losing record and likely wont even make the tournament

Davidson played in a much worst league with a better team
I’d take him with a late first. This draft isn’t particularly strong and he’s shown an ability to adapt and get better.
He took Davidson to the elite 8 and had plenty of non-conference P5 matchups where he was keeping games very close.
I watched the one vs. Oklahoma and BLake Griffin live.
