Jay is more popular overall but Nas definitely has a more dedicated female fanbase, I can think of a couple examples of Rnb singers making songs about Nas Teedra Moses Be your Girl and Amy Winehouse Me and Mr Jones. Solange told of the story of her crying when she first met Nas, what similar stores can you find of women in the industry saying the same about Jay, no bias...

You wouldn’t understand :dead:
Thank God I Found You :ehh:, heartbreaker with jay-z was bigger
You Owe me
Oochie wally
You won’t see me tonight :dead:
Cherry Wine :dead:
Serious Interlude :dead: :dead: :dead: :dead:
Replace Me :dead:
Bye Baby :dead:
KISSING :dead:

It’s a landslide for Nas

lol... cmon breh. the average woman doesnt know these songs besides oochie wally. you in here talking about female celebs and shyt :dead:. ask 10 random chicks in NY to name 5 nas songs dealing with women and you might be lucky if 2 outta 10 name oochie wally & you owe me together. anywhere else in the US and it might be 0 outta 10

Answer is no.

People confuse songs with R&B hooks as being for hoes, but hoes don’t even f*ck with those tracks like that. Nas only has a couple joints that are certified classics that you see chicks really vibing to as "chick songs". The Mariah joint being one of them. Women didn't like "You Owe Me". LOL!! I remember when they used to do Battle of the Beats on Hot 97, and "You Owe Me" was up against "How to Rob", and all the girls were picking 50's joint. People have to stop assuming that girls always want a formulaic track with a singy hook. Most dudes who actually chill with women, will tell you that hoes ain't really into sh*t like that all the time.

But if we're speaking about songs about women, Nas doesn't have anything on the level of a "Song Cry". Women love "Song Cry". STILL! Chicks will quote random lines from it, in real life. But Jay has always been one of the best at making tracks where he talks about chicks, even when he's dissing them, and women will still vibe out to the sh*t.

"Is That Your Chick" isn't even his track, but women think it is, and go crazy when he does it at shows.

"Big Pimpin'"
"Ain't No N*gga"
"Excuse Me Miss"
"I Just Wanna Love U"
"Best of Me (Remix)" with Mya
"I Don't Wanna Be Alone' with Shai
"Excuse Me Miss Again (La, La, La)"

There's a lot more. But very few MC's have had women in the pocket the way Jay has. Go to any show and you'll see them knowing every single word, even when he was saying misogynistic sh*t, lol. On his tour with Mary, he would say "Ladies, I'm sorry about this sh*t about to say up here". And the ladies in the crowd would literally yell back 'We love you! We don’t care!" Hov has always had the hoes on the lock.

As far as Nas, the aunties STILL want to get with Nas. Since day one, they seem to like him more than the actual music. Girls were showing up to the Illmatic signing just to meet and see Nas to take pics, but didn't want to buy the album, lol. The hoes have always been vocal about loving his looks, but they can't recite sh*t from the albums.

If you don’t think women love U Owe Me or Oochie Wally i’m sorry you’ve NEVER been to a Nas concert. Females lose their shyt to those two joints. I remember in 2014 when he headlined One Music Fest he absolutely tore it DOWN but afterwards a bunch of women were vocally complaining about him not performing U Owe Me. Fast forward a couple years and he headlined another festival in 2018 here in Atlanta and he does both and women were getting LOOSE. There’s a reason why he popped out at the Usher concert a few days ago performing U Owe Me and Oochie Wally and not Hate Me Now or Represent.

The average woman don’t know soon you’ll understand, it’s not about how many so by a they know it’s what resonates with them, they know nikkas in Paris doesn’t mean it’s in their playlist.

No for nas n
no for jay

They’re both gangster rappers. And if we are going down that route I’d pick 50.

you aren't tripping, we're just on nasstancentral.com lol. the only place where this is a legit discussion

Breh, most of those songs aren't even women songs. Only three of them deal with relationships and the other just features a woman on the hook. Now if a Nas stan posted "Reason", "Rule", "Rest of My Life", etc in this thread, whole thread would be up in arms talking about "out of touch Nas stanleys".

Neither are bad, and Nas is very good with female orientated Rnb influenced tracks, this is why he has songs with the likes of J Lo, Mary J Blige Mariah Carey, Jhene Aiko, Alina Baraz, Amy Winehouse, and the likes of Lauryn Hill wanted him on her album, it’s not a coincidence Nas meshes very well with Rnb and Soul, way more than T.I and most rappers you can think of.

T.I. actually has some great songs that are R&B influenced or feature R&B singers. That was a huge part of his success.

I don’t remember what that thread was called, but has a bunch of Nas lyrics in regards to sex and it was so damn funny, especially when I binged a bunch of early Nas albums other than Illmatic and everything was true about his descriptions of sex and intimacy :dead:
