Does Roman Reigns deserve the level of hate that he gets?

Its hard to think if Hate is the right word for me with Roman.

There is respect for Roman, because he has busted his ass on some parts. I think the reason why I don't fully like him, is that, a part of him hasn't earned it yet in my eye. Mostly I want a wrestler to have a run with a mid-level title, so people can get familiar. Instead Vince pushed him to the top shelf so quickly, and his run of trying to be a face is just awkward. I am not sure what goes on in the back, but Roman being put on the mic, and trying to be a Face for me isn't hate. Its just I have a "grinding metal" feeling, and sparks are flying from it.

He is best as a silent, brooding enforcer type.

Not Zayn..Zayn is over enough but he's pretty hard to put up with on the mic too. Sounds kind of condescending and annoying at times..at least as a face.

That's the way he comes across in interview to me as well.

Wrestling is fake. Roman is skilled as he needs to be. And he does connect with a certain segment of fans. Just not the neckbeards and thats ok.

Wrestling is for kids. Ya'll dudes got to get off of your high horse trying to make this shyt for adults. WWE Wrestling is and always will be for kids... with some adult spice thrown in.

Roman looks like a super hero, he has crossover potential. He can be in movies, He looks good on good morning america etc. Its a business, him Cena and maybe Seth are probably the only crossover type stars in the biz. Because they work in multiple situations outside of "ringwork" and all that.

Cesaro, Samoa Joe, Balor all those guys are not going to do that. Be realistic... I think AJ can have a heel run with the strap. It's nothing wrong with being in the midcard... everybody doesnt need to be champ to be relevant or a legend. It's a fake belt. Let them put it on whoever they think will sell tickets. It's a team sport.

What sells out first shirts in adult sizes or shirts in kid sizes. Adults spend money, kids dont. Roman hasnt been anywhere near as marketable as you project him to be. What he COULD be while being a top star, doesnt make him a top star. Kids like him sure. Kids are stupid and are conditioned to like anything they put there. So once again. What does he actually DO better than anyone else that warrants THE top spot?
