Does Skip Bayless really have Sources?

You don't have to necessarily do any of those things these days to get access to information breh. If someone wants you to leak information for them to serve a purpose, then they are going to provide you that information regardless of whether you show up to the sporting event or not.

The regular dude who first broke the Watson suspension number literally got the information from the league website, which is the same website that other NFL analyst mainly get their information from. If you lurk on Reddit, then a lot of these "breaking news" stories get broken well in advance by regular people.

So the answer is no.

Remember the NFL themselves have used SAS on more than one occasion to leak information to the public in their favor and he doesn't have those NFL connections like that.

Yeah plenty hated journalists still break stories. Just because you hate him don’t mean everybody does. If you have a whistleblower/snitch on your side you can get things done. I think skip has people on his side

Stuff doesn't add up with skip. No athletes acknowledges him! One time a former athlete in Allen Iverson said he actually has love for skip....but doesn't like Whitlock. No athletes with certain morals and/or agendas go to skip for a platform, lol. Who is skip's base? Who is skip's audience? If anyone else slurped Tom Brady in skip's position over the years they would be acknowledged.

No matter how many people hate on Whitlock conservative/strong Christian/strong family values athletes deal with and come on his shows to express themselves.

No matter how many times Stephen A is called a c00n athletes still chop it up and get over any c00nin etc. Plus, I think Aaron Rodgers even acknowledged Stephen A calling him a baaaad man, lol.

Colin Cowherd stays being embraced even by the likes of Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes. Colin Cowherd slurps Joe Burrow....and that lead to Burrow being a guest on his show a few times etc.

I just don’t think he cares about journalism anymore. He used to be a highly rated journalist, but he burned so many bridges in the late 90s and early aughts.

When is the last time he has broken a story?

I think the last story he 'broke' was about Kawhi if I recall correctly. This is all hazy but I believe he had some kind of an altercation with Kawhi's people so my guess is that they gave him a little something to iron things out. But that's a lot of conjecture from me. And I also think he got something right about some contract recently but nothing significant.

But as far as sources and industry goes, in his 50 years in media Rob Parker is probably the only person that doesn't hate his guts

I don't think Skip has sources but he figured a way around it.
He never breaks stories. He is never the first to announce stuff.
That's why he bases a lot of his show on "predictions" or what he thinks. And he says "in my heart of hearts." It's all opinion and no hard facts. In the off chance he is right he chalks it up to his intuition or past stats. Wherever Brady ends up next season Skip won't know but he'll have a segment or two "predicting" where he will go.

You don’t need to be liked to have sources. Just have a platform large enough to get whatever agenda/story to a wide audience.

i think he has a couple. I wouldnt be surprised if he's close with kwahi uncle because he was first when it came to him missing all of last year. Everybody was reporting that he would come back near the end of the year but skip said from the beginning he wouldnt play at all.

That's what I keep trying tell people. A lot of breaking news stories aren't coming directly from the athletes or someone themselves and more so the people around them. That's why a lot of these breaking stories are floating around on Reddit well in advance before them becoming mainstream. The janitor or someone else working in the building could be considered as a source of information. In the case of the Josh Primo one, someone on Reddit who knew a friend who worked at a hotel that the Spurs were at broke the story before the mainstream press even did.

Josina Anderson is about one of the few sports journalist out here in the NFL realm with direct lines to athletes when it comes to reporting the news.
