Of course it does. What kinda question is this? That’s like asking does being attractive affect how people treat you.
You’d be surprised at the amount of people that refuse to get out of their comfort zone just to earn a living or make more money. I’ve encouraged employees at past jobs to apply for management positions, but they simply don’t want to because they don’t want to be forced to talk during an interview. Or they freeze up whenever upper management is around. Some people try to cover it up by putting enthusiasm in their voice, give unnecessary compliments or tell jokes that don’t go over well. Being able to speak well gives confidence. But a lot of people feel comfortable talking around like minded or speaking individuals.
