more info on em coast guards....im interested

i've been in the coast guard 10 years. its different from the rest of the services because our mission is more about saving lives than taking them. we're mostly known for search and rescue, maritime law enforcement (policing the water), and immigration enforcement among other things. its pretty competitive to get in because we're such a small service so you have to set yourself apart somehow. recruiters look for people who volunteer and have played team sports because it shows they're selfless and have the ability to work towards a common goal with others. i'm assuming you're black so you already got a leg up because the coast guard is actively trying to diversify. find some asvab study guides online because the better you score the more jobs you're eligible for.

I was in the AF 5 and a half yrs and separated last yr to go to school for free.
Air Force has the best overall lifestyle and way more laid back.
I deployed with them army cats and they get treated like sh1t. I used be like:huhldup:
Army deploys for 12 months. AF deploys for 6 months.
I was in Japan for 3 yrs. Never worked overtime or on weekends my entire career:win:

It should not be that way. Some parts of the Army, such as aviation, are the same way and it gets on my nerves. Nothing but bad shyt happens when you get junior enlisted folks who are too comfortable with officers or senior NCO's. There's nothing wrong with being friendly, but calling each other by your first names and going to the club together on a weekend is taking it a lil' too far. I've seen that shyt with some AF cats I knew and in Army aviation.

go rub one out for good measure.

Rank has nothing to do with officers/enlisted ppl enjoying their lives outside of

work. So what mf? What is it to you? You let that work/rank sh1t get to yo

head. Wait a min.. u a :cac: aint you?

Since you are :pacspit: 2xs

It's obvious that you haven't deployed recently. It's been 9 months since 2010 or early 2011. Do your research before you pop off at the mouth.

You don't know shyt about me. But I do know that I've had soldiers who fukk up and go to their warrant officer and officer buddies to get them out of shyt they shouldn't be getting out of. No need to pull rank, as you say, but if you're in the wrong then don't be pissed off when you have to pay the consequences for your actions. So if you go out clubbing with CPT Nameless from your unit and you get a DUI, what happens then a$$hole? A lot of folks can't separate that shyt, so I've seen double standards where CPT Nameless' buddies will get off for the same shyt that other soldiers are getting slammed for. That's why you shouldn't get too close to officers, warrants, and senior NCO's outside of work. Dumb ass...

LOL at me being white, I'm probably blacker than you.

Not to make this a racial thing(which means I am), but can I assume this CPT and his 'buddies' were white??? They have to be. When it involves 'Officers' and Soldiers 'goin free' it's always white boys and/or their servants(asians, southern latinos) involved. I never saw a Black officer look out for anyone, you gonna get maxed fukkin with them:russ:. They got shyt to prove.

NOTE:Yeah, yeah, yeah, if you didn't put yourself in that situation then blah, blah, blah....

**enjoys freedom and VA benefits**:win:

Thank God I don't have to worry about that shyt anymore...

usmc is super strict and braiwash their people.
army treats their people like shyt.
air force has the best overall quality of life, shortest deployments, but slow advancement and horrible stateside locations.
navy takes care of their people, shiplife isn't for everybody but their are a few jobs that don't require to ever be stationed on a ship. best duty station locations. have to be able to swim.

navy or air force to me.

I feel you on this but when you work in the medical field you have constant interaction with your superiors when dealing with a population in a hospital, clinic. When it's time to hang out we hang but when we gotta get stuff done we get it done.
