I'm not saying starting and running your own business is easy but now days it's easier than ever. It's not for everyone and it's not the traditional 9-5 in every aspect. I have my own social media company, tons of niches out there today to fill.

LOL @ those still chasing the "American dream".

"well my boss gives me 100k a year and retirement har harr harr"

:mjlol:

But ayeee I will say this, if it's working for you (no pun intended), do yo thang bruhs . Just don't limit yourself to thinking you either have to work for someone else all your life or bust your ass in half working for yourself, just to "have a good life".

Lifes way bigger than that and there's a means to every end.

edit to say though that if 'the concept of waking up 5 days a week and working for someone else till your old' doesn't scare you (whether its working for you or not), you need more vision, more knowledge of self, and probably to travel a lil more.. and if you're like me and can't travel out of the US much, READ. shyt, do SOMETHINg to expand ya mind pleighboy because you def need it if that concept doesn't scare you even a lil bit

People speak on entrepreneurial ventures as if its the new golden goose egg. Start up your own company to quit the rat race right?

But what about the work put into that business? I know alot of business owners but they also have minimal time for anything else because that business consumes everything. Even the managers/directors/COO/VP etc are putting in mad hours to manage a business thats not really theirs.

Seems like either way, you're still apart of the rat race. You just have to make sure you make your money grow, one way or another, so you won't be 60+ still having to work.

Imagine how scary it is to be old as dirt, expect a high paying wage in a career that is being outsourced, phased out or overrun with young people who work faster for less. Job security for old people is frightening. They just want to get to retirement but the company doesn't want to pay that so they'll find a way to fire you before you retire

Throw in pensions and retirement plans on shaky ground and ...:wow:

Director at an Investment Bank, or Senior Partner at a BigLaw Firm are my goals. The job gets easier the longer you're there. And the pay gets higher.

Not really..

Do I want to be set for life and don't want to work.. hell yeah who wouldn't...

But im good.. I work in insurance and I like it. Plus I have my insurance license which I know a lot of young people wouldn't want to study for and do my job, because its not quote " the glamour job "
