This is also another reason why we're seeing the "age of the entrepreneur" take hold for younger people.

shyt is real. The economy is morphing into another animal altogether and the concept of having a job is damn near extinct to many Gen Y people. After being broke/ unemployed for so long in this great recession, people go nuts and start their own thing.

Not half as bad as losing 350k in funding trying to "expand my own business" and then trying to explain to the VC's and private holders what happened when some newer technology comes a long and there's no more need in the market for it

"Well, uh, still friends right? How's Martha doing? Tell little Brett I said hi..heh..heh heh heh"

This whole "be your own boss" craze is effecting you young nikkas perception something awful...I'm not gonna say that owning a successful business is pure luck , but read every single success story, and the timing+immediate execution was everything...

Some people are faced with circumstances daily that don't allow that timing to happen.

Not to mention, explain to the first 20 employees of Microsoft, Apple, Facebook , Berkshire Hathaway, etc about how you can't be happy or financially free workingfor someone else :sas2:

you dont have to be the next bill gates with 10k employees breh...thats not necessary to be free....

it can be done on a way smaller scale than that....

Start off trying to work for a living and then you end up living to work. The cycle is real :wow:

Even if I won the lotto, I'd still "work" to keep my mind occupied. Whether its owning my own business or whatever, I can't see myself just sitting idle.

This. Work adds structure to your life and I read that most lottery winners end up going back to work for this reason

I like to work and stay busy though, if I didn't have to work I could see myself just getting fukked up and not doing shyt which would end up getting boring

People say "all well you can travel and see the world" but that shyt gets old. I'm ready to go back home after the 6th or 7th day whenever I do go on a trip

Couldn't give a fac, my life isn't my work. And owning a business is even more stressful and time consuming than being employed
