The fact that a possible 7-9 team at best from the NFC South will not only make it but host a home playoff game is :scust:

While either Dallas, Seattle, GB, or Detroit will miss the offs because of this bullshyt :camby:
They way its looking. It will be SF, Seatle, Greenbay, Dallas, Detroit fighting for the last two spots. Crazy to think some of those teams won't get in but it is what it is. I think SF won't make it and Dallas falls off too

Edit- didn't realize seatle schedule so tough :wow: two frisco games, two cardinals games, Eagles and the Chiefs

:usure:No, no it does not. Just stop.

When about 40% of the league makes the postseason, there are weird statistical anomalies that manifest from time to time. It's just that simple.

Same bullshyt argument people bring up about the NBA postseason structure. More than half the league makes the playoffs, thus, literally there is one below-average team in the playoffs every year.

No need to change. We all know that beating out a bunch of 6-10 squads is not only equal to but actually >>>>>> than winning 10 or 11 in a tough division :mjlol:.

If Saints win out and go 11-5 does that make it better? Let's let the season play out first.

I think you simply can't take away the importance of divisions by removing division winners from playoff contention. I'm all for a good debate of a division winner not automatically hosting a playoff game though. That, I would agree with. Seattle didn't deserve to host a playoff game at 7-9 and us/ATL/CAR at the moment don't deserve to host a playoff game if we finish 7-9 or 8-8 and host a 10-6/11-5 team. Winning the division and getting an automatic playoff spot should be enough of a prize.

Best 6 records get in. :heh:/:comeon: at nikkas acting like this is complicated.

Just to be clear I have seen you post quite frequently and tend to agree with you on most sports topics.

Nonetheless... your suggestion completely undermines the purpose of division play. Not to mention that it fails to adequately address the other potential issue in which there are 9 of the best 12 records are in one conference, but still only 6 of them get in.
