I guess if your looking at it in a worldwide popularity contestdre and snoop definately had hit singles and records on those albums. Snoop and Dre were a lot bigger on that scale. On quality tho I think doggystyle and infamous are pretty even and chronic I would put outside my top 5 prolly 7th. I think there’s like 8 albums that are better then the rest for me

i will say this much.

@Sccit is smart for this thread. he knew dogg pound was gonna get washed but he just wanted to make a statement, and as a result, we got a double-diamond thread on our hands. dogg food is gonna get bumped up a few pegs, maybe even a couple tiers on this board. and it might spread over to other boards until it becomes a thing on the internet & social media.

southerners should take notes. im looking at that "400 degreez vs mista dont play" thread.
400 degreez is a much better album than dogg food. you could at least make an argument for it over the infamous.
but instead, dudes are wasting one of the few all-time classics they have, by putting it up against a f*ckin project pat album. Pat is dope but LOL. talk about de-valuing your own chit.





i was down south when it was out.

south had hotter production.

streets dont care about no engineering and whatever chit you talkin.







half of dogg food is more in line with an east coast album at the time.

only certain cuts really fit the mold that youre describing.

i dont have 400 in the same tier as infamous, but a much better argument could be made.

I been avoiding this thread for days lol It’s about an even matchup as you can have...I love The Infamous but its a mood album. I prefer to listen to it whenever it gets colder outside but with Dogg Food I feel like I can put it on at any time.

The Infamous is classic but it has some skippables, so does Dogg Food but overtime Dogg Food has had more replay value.

shyt I listen to Hell On Earth and Murda Muzik more than I do the Infamous.
