it wasnt even the most popular sound at the time. that title goes to southern bounce as well as the east coast spinoffs that were influenced by it.

It’s not Just him. If you look at a lot of east coast albums at the time. Ja Rule, Jay Z, Nas. A lot of the big acts at the time their production all mimicked what Dre was doing at the time. The south was influential too I’m not denying that but Dre perfected sonically what a hip hop album can sound like with 2001. I’m not even scratching the surface with this post. I’ll explain more in depth later when I’m at my laptop
