Scarlet? I thought that shyt was fukkin fire
It grew on me a little. Loved most of the deluxe tracks. On the regular version I skip Go Off, Shutcho, Agora Hills (I know people love it but it just doesn't move me for some reason) , Often, Love Life, Skull and Bones, Balut. The songs I don't skip are great. I think I like Doja best when she doesn't take herself so seriously.

Unserious/party Doja is my preference but I know she can also do great serious songs here and there to. Attention/Paint the town red for example are excellent serious songs. Wet Vagina, Get into it yuh (planet her) are more Unserious examples I rock with.

Even though I like 10 of the 17 songs. I still give it a high 6 or a 7. The good songs are really good.

Alright, let me know what you think after you finish listening to it :myman:
I just listened to a few songs and skim the rest of the album and the whole album is 80s themed?? Nah I can't rock with this. Even tho I was born in the 80s, outside of Michael Jackson and a few big hits, 80s music is trash.

For the most part it’s all 80’s influenced, outside of two songs

Different strokes for different folks :ehh:

I love the fact that she once again is not relying on a lot of collaborations

Only one feature from SZA

The rest of the album is all her

I’m a Doja fan and I like “Jealous Type” :yeshrug:

Doja is versatile so I’m fine with her switching back to a more pop sound.

Different vibe on this album with the heavy 80’s influence sound but some of the songs I think people are going to love are “Acts of Service” and “Make It Up”

Those two songs sound (production wise) like R&B songs from the 2000’s during that BET era of Midnight Love

“Acknowledge Me” was a modern record and the closest to that sound would probably be “Acts of Service” and “Make It Up” on this album

I love how Jazzy the song “Cards” is in sections

This album’s production in parts reminds me of some of the production work on Prince’s side project, The Family (self titled album) from 1985.

That 80’s era of jazz mixed with Pop and 80’s era Minneapolis sound, with some new wave and synth pop.
