Dollar Stores in America have become the fastest growing food chains. One woman showed what you can buy on a 70$ budget. Is this sustainable?

You get your quarter back when you return the kart so you don't leave it in the parking lot. It's not a one stop shop, but I've found there chicken to be fine. They also have imported Italian pasta, which is better than Barillatype brands.
Not him leaving the quarter :russ:

I know his anxiety was thru the roof lol

If you believe shyt they say in print. You are a fool.

Do not eat meat and produce from walmart. It is spoiled. They are not a market.

I usually just get batteries, Glasses and cleaning products.
I don't really see a reason to pay 3 to 5 dollars for bleach at other stores, when you can get it for $1.25 at dollar tree. bleach is bleach
also toothbrushes. i don't need a fancy toothbrush. a 5 pack for 1.25 is better deal than you will find outside of dollar tree.
My mom always says the bleach at cheap stores (dollar store, Save A Lot, etc) is stretched with water or something.

Like it should be. My mom used to water down pure bleach anyway, now i pay less money for to come that way already.
bleach is more effective at killing germs and safer for your skin when diluted.

And before you say, (why not water it down yourself and stretch out the bleach?) The dollar tree bleach comes in a gallon and is a quarter of the price, You still getting more useable bleach if you buy four. Use just don't have to measure out the dilution by hand. Saves you money and effort.

Exactly. Even meat. Chicken breast you can find for 2-4 dollars a pound for some decent quality chicken. Groceries are only super expensive if you’re buying processed and premade stuff . Chicken, rice and veggies still cheap.

They went up on my damn chicken thighs and thin slice chicken breasts, but

2 packs of thin sliced chicken breast can feed 5 people for $20. Add in veggies and sweet potatoes and you got a family meal for $30

Good luck trying to spend $30 on fast food for a family of 5. Ain't happening unless its strictly dollar menu. If you did manage, y'all gone be hungry again after a couple hours.

The thing about fruits and veggies .. is it's all perishable..

Some of that stuff goes bad in 2-3 days and you have to recoup . Which is time and gas and prep .. thats where it gets expensive, then if you have a family of 4 and not just yourself ... That graph is by the cup

2- 3 days?? Green apples, oranges, and grapefruit last 4 to 6 weeks in the fridge. Bananas last a week. Peaches and Kiwi about a week. Berries can frozen and last months. Vegetables can be frozen and last months.

Some of y'all don't eat fruit or vegetables otherwise you'd know this.:hubie:

a meal out for one person is like 15-25 now. I had Chipotle the other day it was 20 dollars. You also get the lowest quality ingredients known to man at these food joints because they need to maximize profits. Once you start eating clean and making your own food you can taste how they skimp on the quality of every single ingredient

Dollar Tree is like a Beyonce concert around those gift-giving holidays like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, etc.

Brehs, getting about 3/4 of them $1.25 balloons and a box of Milk Duds and calling it a day.

It's the thought that counts. :manny:

On the railroad it is said that cap full of chlorine from a tank car is enough to fill a grocery isle of bleach.

Save money grocery shopping to save up for your impending hospital bills brehs

All that sodium processed shyt
My philosophy is, there’s no cutting corners when it comes to your health, especially nutrition. People think they’re saving money when they buy cheap food but they’ll pay for it more in the long term.

Better to pay for high quality food and be close to broke than to eat crap and have some money in the bank. What’s the point if you’re not alive or healthy enough to spend that money?

You can always make more money, you can’t buy a new body though. :francis:

nahh that shyt is fun and interesting :mjlol:

You really can guess what a person looks like if you stare at the cart first

I don’t know why but since I got on my health kick when I’m in line or see a full cart in front of me I peep whats their cart lol. But you can do more than guess you can tell a lot about a persons from their cart. It also tells you a lot about society. No diss but the amount of black people I’ve seen that have a cart full of chips, Soda, ice cream, frozen processed foods is insane and you guessed it all obese. You can even get a IQ temperature of someone’s cart lol
I can’t lie, I like cart snooping too. When I see a big back filling her cart with all kinds of high processed foods, it’s usually always followed by 3+ kids waddling from behind carrying even more candy. Modern day child abuse. :mjcry:

That image is every major grocery chain with an urban demographic populous. Very sad. So many fat black and Mexican kids. Very rare you see it with whites.
