America hates atheists more than Muslims. That should tell you something. I'm not going to bring up my lack of belief in a god to a cac I rely on for an income

Re read the original post. The point is not to change people's minds, debate or make people feel like they are wrong. Never did I mentioned any of that in the OP.
The point is to stop hiding and start being open and honest about your way of thinking.
I noticed that at least one poster said he had to lie or black women wouldn't fukk with him.
That's a pretty big something to lie about in a relationship imho.
I'm still wondering why someone who thinks religon/organized religon is stupid wants to pursue someone who apparently has these beliefs?
I don't hide. If they ask me I'll tell them. That thread is cringe worthy. The number one reason black atheists gave for her never meeting a black non believer is that most non believers are quiet about it and afraid to step on people's toes by divulging there non belief or skepticism of belief. You have people in that thread literally claiming that they are only willing to talk about atheism on the internet where they are anonymous and safe. You have a bunch of people who are completely convicted in being atheist/agnostic, thinks it benefits their lives, but go out of their way to keep their way of thought a secret from their own inner circles of people they care about who could benefit from the knowledge, experience, and open dialog. That's some weak shyt!
I'm speaking as a agnostic. Black freethinkers we need to stop being afraid. Stop being in the closet. The more of us that are open about this IN REAL LIFE, the more we can start having open dialog within black culture, and remove a lot of the barriers to free thought and open possibilities.
I'm not saying everyone should do lame shyt like become an social media activist and post demeaning memes making fun of religion on Facebook. I'm saying we should not be afraid to be honest as long as we do it in a way that's respectful.

My aunt and I had a long conversation one day where I alluded to non-belief, and she deaded anything I had to say from that point on the subject. She believes its evil not
to believeand she ain't the only one. Religious folks will go the fukk IN on us.
:dafuqisthis:
I ain't afraid of no bible thumpers, breh! I'm agnostic as well and the reason I keep my shyt to myself is because when they ask and I tell them they start to preach, challenge or spout some other shyt I don't want to hear. On top of looking at you like you some demon. "The devil making you talk like this..."
Coming from a Christian family I got sick of that back and forth a long time ago.
Yeah look at how the gays did it. We can learn a lot from fakkitsYou guys realize that the more of us that are open and honest about our way of thinking the more accepting and tolerant people will end up right? A lot black people assume that atheists and agnostics are evil or crazy contrarian unicorns because they don't meet enough to disprove their assumptions. Keep hiding and being afraid to talk about your beliefs and this will never change.

I said I don't talk about it except with personal contacts, online, or if probed by someone. I feel the same way about politics in generaThat thread is cringe worthy. so that is not an issue for me..
and keep it moving. I'm not getting in religious debate with random wackos out on the streets breh
I never said I was afraid, but I put religious talk in the same box as sexuality, family history, etc. shyt that is NONE of my business, and in return, none of anyone elses business. You guys realize that the more of us that are open and honest about our way of thinking the more accepting and tolerant people will end up right?
