Gave it the run thru on the commute this morning and right now its just OK, same feeling I got with Get Home Safely. Maybe I'm in the minority but Dom's music has dipped in quality after The Yellow Album. Seems like he hit his zenith on that one, which is kinda disappointing since now he's basically laying low until we get that one project a year from him.

whats a Cali summer without some Dom to bump :blessed:

Dom replay value is the best in the game, I still bump his shyt from 2009 up until get home safely
same brodie
I don't know if anybody else has peeped this...

But What is good with DJ Dahi giving artists the same beats?

Joey Fatts had What Mean The World 2 U?

...then Dom Kennedy proceeds to get the SAME exact beat from DJ Dahi for Fried Lobster.

And before that, Grande Marshall had Ellie Fox, then DJ Dahi proceeds to give Lupe Fiasco the same beat in the form of Adoration of the Magi.

shyt's just weird tbh, if it's a freebie or the artist didn't pay for the beat I get it, but both artists had them on their official projects. :patrice:

Rather than that, the album is cool. Smooth, chillin music that we all know Dom for and dig. Still funny as hell to me that dude got Boo Bonic from Philly's Most Wanted as the ONLY guest on the LP like it's 2002 :heh:

dj dahi stay giving nikkas the same beats, did the same shyt for gibbs and vic mensa

yeah, after first two listens...this is very disappointing.
as someone who's been listening to Dom since 25th Hour....this is not good...just "ok" perfectly sums it up.

that first joint...he didn't even bother to try and rap on beat. :russ::francis:

should have been called (Throwaways) By Dom Kennedy.
thats why he's looking guilty/sheepish on the cover for charging for this.

i find it hard to believe since he's dropped Get Home Safely, these are the ten best joints he's made.
two of them, he gave away at the tail end of last year which nearly everybody agreed wasn't album worthy material.

his music serves a purpose but most these joints aren't cutting it.
his ear for beats is still lovely though.

Would cop on iTunes if it were cheaper than $11.99. Can't justify paying that for 11 mp3s :francis:

I'm happy with this release. It's Dom. 100%. Idk how long in the rotation it will last compared to his other efforts but I rock with everything on here.

If I had one complaint or suggestion.... If we got these same 11 tracks with maybe 3 or 4 standouts it would be a perfect Dom album.

Kinda seems like he gave us 11 album cuts. Solid but unspectacular. Real safe.

Hopefully he and Nip are linking up for a joint album. :blessed:

All of you nikkas saying that this shyt is lacklustre I feel you 100%.

Son been making us wait since 2013 and these are the eleven best joints he's made in that time? :dahell:

I know son is known for his languid flows but this shyt is dire b. He ain't even trying to rap, he's got to the point where he's almost talking on records. He's lost any semblance of his flow. No hunger in this at all. I was listening to this and thought what the fukk is this Lemonade shyt. Water, Sugar Lemon Squeeze Water Sugar Lem- nikka shut the fukk up.

I went back to FWSWL2 after I locked off this new shyt and peeped that epic four song run of OPM > Platinum Chanel > I Love Dom > The Ways and thought yo where's this nikka gone? Even his throwaway jawns like Never were fukking fuego. Iono brehs, this shyt is mad light to me and after GHS was more miss than hit, I feel like I'm running out of chances to give Dom. If he somehow manages to tour off this over in the UK I don't even think I'm gonna go. Now I'm gonna have to wait another two years to get another ten dead records?

It's quiet for Dom right now :francis:
