They took too long to drop that album... and the album was average as fukk

Looking back at it now, between Dom, Pac Div, Fly U, U-N-I, TiRon & Ayomari, etc there's a lot of west coast artists that I thought would have been more successful overall. Not that I would have been expecting huge mainstream exposure for all of em, but it feels like they're all mostly irrelevant now with the average fan

Label issues pretty much fukked them, took them too long to drop an album, then they got lost in the shuffle. I mentioned them in The Cool Kids thread the other day. Very underrated group I feel could've been big with so much potential they had together.

dont know if its the same as Banks cause he had alot of success coming right into the rap game being under 50 and he can always tap into his market when he does decide to drop music but Dom could've been pulling a Curren$y rn by being a major underground rapper

Yeah...Dom should be right there with Curren$y of being a successful underground rapper on a major. I just don't think he really cares about hip-hop like that anymore. Hopefully his money and everything is straight.

I can respect that fact he chose fatherhood over the the rap lifestyle.

Pac Div had a lot of potential. This is still one of my favorites from them

Fashawn, Blu, Old TDE, Nipsey Hussle, Ya Boy... Murs and Evidence/dialated people still had their followings... LA was so underrated during the late 2000s with their talents, because they were all kinda underground at the time

Meanwhile the coast going hard at each other
The younger rappers had wanted some of the OGs' comfort
But I ain't need it

I never screamed out the 'New West', I didn't believe it
They brought each other down,I was planning out my achievements
I need to separate myself to stand out

I started hearing the decline around FTWWL2, it's like each project from there on out I liked less and less tracks. He fell all the way off with the last project

And that's the thing. Dom never been no hardcore spitter, I don't think anybody is askin for bars, we just wanna hear him rap like he's actually trying
