Never had Dominican food but I like Jamaican food from time to time. Is Golden Krust considered authentic or nah?
I’d call it Jamaican fast food. I never had anything more than their snacks like a beef patty and coco bread.

Duck is naturally fatter than chicken with an ability to not dry out like chicken so the curry duck was literally succulent melt in your mouth tender but it stayed intact :wow: (if you close to an asian market buy some sliced duck breast a pound like two dollars)

Also name a drink better than Sorrel

A patty in coco bread

Jah going to fill you up :wow:

One of my homegirls is Dominican and she can cook her ass off

But Jamaican food is the 2nd best type of food to come from the African Diaspora (soul food is first of course)

I’ve had Jamaican, Haitian, and Rican food. Not Dominican. Not too many of them around my way.

Carib cuisine is just okay to my palette. I don’t go out of my way for them like I would Nigerian or Indian food.
