What's the false history that you think Dominicans are clinging to and what's what history that you think is true?

Under Trujillo their history books were distorted by the government and Dominicans were fed an alternate history that emphasized white is right. Dominicans celebrate their independence from Haiti, not Spain, not France. It's honestly endless. On the bright side it's one of the biggest shyt holes in Latin America for all the good it did them. On a comedy scale Venezuela may be the only county that eclipses the Dominican in terms of utter face palms in the region.

Why would they celebrate their independence from Spain of France?

That's not when the country, as constituted, was founded

They are not our brothers, neither do they want to be:

The Republic of Haiti emerged in the early nineteenth century when the slaves revolted against their French masters. It grew out of a pact between slaves in a voodoo ceremony at Bois Cayman. The main objective was to kill all whites.

The violence of the Haitian Revolution was devastating, destroying plantations of coffee and sugar cane plantations and burned all. It was an absolute destruction of all the wealth that was in Haiti, which was great.

This destructive attitude of Haitians has been ongoing to this day.

This racist war, which originally was black against white, led to the killing of mulattoes and all that were not completely black; this has been preserved until today.

Haitians think they have the right to this part of the island: "The island is one and indivisible."

Less than two months after the independence of Dominicans from Spain, haitian troops crossed the border and extended their rule over the whole island.

I will not list the killings in cold blood of dominican men, women and children, which is the way haitians settle differences, but the fury with which they were executed: children slaughtered, women raped and burned alive. The primal instincts of haitians were suffered by the dominican population; while they passed, haitians were leaving gruesome scenes, crimes against humanity, only comparable to the killings of antiquity, such as those made by Attila the Hun and Genghis Khan.

May no one be in any doubt that if Haitians were superior to us in military power, they would repeat the same killings of the past.

Haitians do not care if a situation affects them negatively, they do not mind buying the most expensive chickens whenever if it's not ours; trade in general and freight transport have been hindered by vandalism committed by haitians, bilateral committee is deadlocked, Custom retains 27 trucks full of goods while the burning of the dominican flag just to humiliate us.

Haitians are demonstrating their intentions whenever their officials express themselves. An example was given by the Chancellor Casimir when he said, feeling proud of "the extraordinary mobilization of all resources of the Haitian diplomacy against enforcement of the judgment of the Constitutional Court 168-13 Dominicano", adding that "was very pleased to conduct an immense campaign to encourage regional and international community to prevent the Dominican authorities apply their law ... "

President Martelly in order to condemn the attacks on the Dominican consulates in Haiti, that included the burning of our flag, occurred in a march sponsored by the Haitian government itself to please his countrymen, urged the Dominican authorities to take action to end violence exerted against Haitians residing in the country. Then, after this accusation, condemned the attacks against Dominicans interests, is not that justify vandalism exercised against our sovereignty?

Haitians are NOT our brothers, neither do they want to be. They will continue to act against us in any way they can (fortunately they cannot do it by military force), through governments and international organizations and their dominican partners. Their main weapons.

The clear purpose of haitians is to gradually have dominion of the island, because they cannot do it by force.

For their plans, haitians in association with their dominican partners, will continue attacking the Dominican Republic in all shapes they can, regardless of previous agreements, respect for ethics, or anything. Until we realize that we are dealing with a real and ruthless enemy, they will continue to advance their purposes.

You are the only one who explains this hatian Dominican problem. I just didn't understand or like too many Dominicans because I saw too much of the ignorance because I never got a logical reason why they seem to act "c00nish" when it came to other blacks or AA. At first I thought it was just an island thing because we both know a lot of island people like to disassociate themselves from AA but as time went on I seen its because of hatians. They just see black as Haitian, if you understand what I mean. Once that connection changes, I do see some understanding they have black connection as well as others. These are older dominican-americans, I can't speak for younger people in the old country.

Anyway, props for explaining where all this fighting came from!
