I was “talking” to a dark skin Dominican and I mentioned that my ex was Haitian American. This man had an entire hissy fit needless to say I stopped talking to him ..with no regrets. You should read the Inquire to Santo Domingo. It was when the DR almost became a US state.

Post Dominican independence a Dominican was asked “if you could unite or occupy the island, would you”

The response was “they just like to fight, black man, mixed man, French man, the Haitian man just want to fight”. Lol it was an emphatic no.
