Man Russ' post game interview was depressing as fukk. He looked broken. I don't know what the team can do. They tried his gung ho approach, and it was leading to high turnovers. Conservative Russ just brings nothing but bad shots.

What can you do?

Look at the +/- and you can see who the problem is on the team. fukk them empty stats he puts up.
He played the most minutes on the team and almost exclusively with the starters that shot 8-38. How is scoring 35 points and barely missing any shots "empty stats"?:mjlol:

They can't do anything. That's why the trade was so dumb. What LeBron saw in him to force a trade is beyond me.

I don't see how they can move him unless it's taking a bunch of bad deals with more term in return. So the Knicks would fit that bill with something like Randle, Fournier and Kemba for Westbrook.

Lakers are just going to have to eat this year and the last year of Westbrook’s deal as he’s not opting out and make the best of it they can. Even if he opted out, then they wouldn’t have the cap space to replace him with someone else.

Nah, if Westbrook wasn't on the books, they'd have a little wiggle room. Projected cap is $119 million right now; without Westbrook, they'd be around $102 million. Trade THT and they're at $92 million.

They could give out a couple decent contracts plus have the mid-level exception.

What I mean is that it’s not enough to bring someone or people in to help save their championship aspirations. The plug and play and 1 year rental things just isn’t going to work anymore at least for the time being.

With cap space, they wouldn't have to do rentals.
