So this is what this thread was regarding
But you quoted me, and my comment had nothing to do with the thread topic. Therefore how can you fall back on the thread topic as an excuse. I said "so" because how David Stern feels doesn't affect me, what I said, or my people.
You asked what differentiation but you've demonstrated it there,
No I did not. A c00n is not a part of my culture so there is no differentiation to be made.
a black person cannot speak on black culture unless they have grown up around black people as a majority?
Of course. A black person is encouraged to embrace who they are and their culture, no matter the class, location, or environment in which they come from. However, speaking on social issues beyond a spectators point of view, is doing a disservice to the culture. Especially if that discussion is taking place among people that are not your own. Being honest with who you are as an individual, and taking responsibility for your own unique experiences is key.
Maybe--
just maybe-- your experiences are predicated on living around non-blacks? Maybe you aren't getting a job because you're asking white people for one? Did you ever think of that?
For example: Someone said earlier in this thread that blacks don't help other blacks. How the fukk would you know that? Especially when it most likely is coming out of the mouth of someone that isn't even black to begin with.
I flat out disagree with that kinda bs. it's what causes divides within the race making aiding one another less apparent, due to where you grew up?
Read what I said earlier, and no it doesn't.
i'm not a black american and we don't really have that aspect here (England). You're black then you're black, knowing culture and history is up to the individual to pursue and gain knowledge about both from experience and information.
Ok.
