We crack jokes about this dude getting away with a lot(and he has...the Presidency comes with a lot of protection) but this is playing with political fire. Not necessarily for him, personally. Type of thing that has major repurcussions down the line. When Powell (repeatedly) tells him that the Fed's decisions aren't swayed by the Executive Office he is telling him something in a subtle way. But since he lacks political experience or decorum he isn't picking up hints. You are playing with people's long money here. Not the broke rednecks trying to 'own the libs'(remove them from this convo altogether) but big big money.
