:Ermmm:It is an issue. I lost 94 lbs while I was in space
@KyokushinKarateMan Isn't muscle atrophy going to be an issue? If I'm not mistaken, long term space travel causes astronauts to lose significant muscle mass since there's no gravity to resist against.
Brehs in a bed for 70 days will barely be able to walk when its over.
"They replaced it with an artificial one and paid him $35,000. It was reported that he used the money to purchase a Nissan 370 Z."

3. Lay in bed for 70 days straight. The payoff for this one is $18,000

NASA uses this procedure to simulate some of the changes that occur in an astronaut’s body when going through space, weightless, during the flight. NASA will pay you to stay in bed for 70 days, 24 hours a day. You need to make sure you’re mentally prepared to spend 70 days in bed. Not everybody is comfortable with that. Not everybody can tolerate an extended time in bed. But remember the payout for this one….. $18,000!
4. Donate a Testicle. The payout for this is $35,000

On a episode of “Extreme Cheapskates “a Las Vegas man figured out a way to make some money by signing up for medical trials. He saved himself more than $750. That inspired him to take it one step further. Most recently he also agreed to donate one of his testicles. But they didn’t just leave him hanging. They replaced it with an artificial one and paid him $35,000. It was reported that he used the money to purchase a Nissan 370 Z.
Well there you go to all of you voluntarily bedridden nikkasThey WONT be able to walk when it’s over. I spent a measly little(relatively speaking) 8 days bed ridden in the hospital, during which time I also lost about 30lbs. I was told that I wouldn’t be able to immediately just get up and walk again but I didn’t give much attention to their words. But when day 9 came and they came to get me for the walking therapy, my body was so weak that I needed a walker AND a nurse on each side. It’s a scary feeling knowing that you could fall at any moment and, since you’re so weak, you can’t even catch yourself or brace for impact so you’re definitely going to break your face on the floor. It gave me little insight on what the elderly must go thru daily. And that weakness, though gradually decreasing as I walked more, lasted about a month AFTER leaving the hospital.
It is hard for me to imagine 70 DAYS when all I did was 8.

My brother spent nearly a month in a medically induced coma because of pneumonia. When he was gradually brought out of it, he spent another 3 weeks at a rehabilitation facility. It’s been about a year and a half and he still isn’t at 100%.They WONT be able to walk when it’s over. Let’s just say I could barely eat the entire time, hence the weight loss and weakness. I’m talking literally like a popsicle a day. And I’d try to eat, I’d order the food, but just couldn’t put it down. Not sure how much that would’ve saved my legs from becoming as weak as they did though. Astronauts eat regularly while in space and still are at risk.
