I remember when DKC came out on SNES and it was insane how much me and my future wife were playing this game. I mean we did co-op. 2 player taking turns. I even played in the Blockbuster tournament (almost made it to nationals). This game gives me the exact same feeling that I had in 95. What a joy this game is to play and it will def be in the mix for game of the year.

How long is it?

I have put 40 hours in so far and have about 630 of 777 bananas ( I guess there's way more than that). I was taking my time but decided to finish so I didn't end up getting spoiled on Youtube. Still gonna take me some time to get everything else as I completely skipped doing much on some levels then a bunch of the postgame stuff left.

I’m wondering if this is something I have to just play for it to click. Seeing gameplay videos has me feeling like you just run around smashing stuff and for that reason I’m on the fence about it

My nephew couldn't put this game down. Git further than me in 2 hours. I see it now. Game def picks up.

Taking a page out of @winb83 playbook - where the fukk is Pauline's shoes?! They got this little girl going through all these rough environments on a DKs back while barefoot.


Some of the little touches in this game are really good, in the

the fractones saying someone asked what DKs name was and they start calling him DJ instead as you get the music going again.

I'd have probably noticed that just like there was a character in Expedition 33 with no damn shoes.
