All 3 surpassed him a long time ago. If Wayne would deny it, it would just be to avoid the backlash. Nobody can listen to Wayne back then and say he wasn't the GOAT.

Lyrically, it's not even funny how many artists are better, and I'm not hating or whatever, because I did grow up on his music, but it is what it is..I only named 3. Story telling and flow is the only thing I can give BIG over a lot of artists

That's the thing, biggie didn't live long enough to play himself like every rapper ever. You could even see thechange on LAD, lot of puffy influence on there and it would only get worse. 90% of rappers get corny. If 50 died after grodt people would call him the goat. If Wayne died after carter 3 people would call him goat.

I can't rate ready to die fairly because I played that shyt to death, no pun. I've lost all critical faculties regarding it because it literally defined an era for me and the people around me, it almost goes beyond music. As such it's an odd album to listen to now because it seems out of place


I get that he lacked a large catalogue and that effects peoples top 5 placings, but he will always be considered even with two albums and that's good enough for me. And let's be fair, you name your favourite artists top tracks and BIG will usually have a comparable track as good or better than it. He falls down slightly on some aspects but the man absolutely smashed it on those two albums alone.

The potential of the man was scary too. Any one with any sense can see he was effortless with it.

All in all easily one of hip hops biggest talents and will widely be considered a top 5 artist, until we're all dead at least
