Dallas by way of Houston by way of San Antonio
People overrate the “OKC Model”. With all their draft picks and talent and “winning”, the ain’t won’t nothing. Not a single chip. I’m not fond of these “trust the process“ rebuilds. Win whenever you can.

In 2017 you couldn’t tell me weren't gonna win a ring within the next 3 years. Never happened. And that team was set up to win in the long term. We have to realize at some point that Duncan Manu and TP were unicorns as far as stability. In today’s NBA we might be able to keep Vic all his career but the pieces around him are likely to change.

Go all in with Greek and if you don’t win then you have one of the most coveted players in the league still with trade value.
Talk to em

If we get Giannis it’s the twin towers all over again just not as old :wow:
But would be in salary cap hell in a few years I think but be put off cuz wemby a rookie

Keep number 2 pick is also the other option either way and be young like okc which is also great depending on who we draft

2 good problems to have
Yah, after the initial excitement of jumping into the top 4 subsided a bit, I started thinking about how going after Giannis would hamstring the org unless…maybe…the Twin Towers 2.0 experiment works out immediately and several folks are willing to pay cut in a few years to KIM.

Tend to doubt that shyt tho.

I just don’t think the Spurs are in a Win Now moment.

Wemby is coming off injury and Castle doesn’t even have a reliable jumper yet. I’m not even sure we know what we have with Sochan.

Giannis is definitely at a Win Now part of his career.

My Pops Forever RIP
Is there a thread on that yet? Or is it just the NBA Draft Talk thread?

While I think Harper will be the better overall player, I could see Spurs drafting Ace Bailey for need.
the draft talk thread

no trade downs.

If a trade happens in real life before the draft, I'll circle back to y'all

:stopitslime:Nigguh I’m gettin tired of yall fukkin slurs fans thinking you goin be able to keep Castle in any potential trade.

And spare me with the whole not in win mode now. If that’s the case then why trade for Foxx? You fool think you slick. Yall anti don’t want to give up assets to get Giannis. Because you know Milwaukee going want Castle and that lottery pick.

And then you’ve to match the salary for trade purposes

whatever the Spurs do with their 2 lottery picks, i hope they don't take on two more rookies. That's WAAY too much development. i'd rather they make moves to make the playoffs, and if this season is any indication (just like last season), they'll have to be a 49/50-win team to get to the playoffs. And i'm talking about avoiding the play-in, so a top 6 seed

We either take Ace Bailey and teach him how to dribble or we take Dylan Harper and play him out of position for 3 or 4 years :pachaha:.

We about to pay Fox 200 million. Wemby eligible to sign a super max next year. That's around 400 million dollars gone in 400 days. Young Holts just got into the ownership game they aint about to trade some cheap as players to instantly add another 100 million to that AND THEN re up that 100 million for 300 million in 2 or 3 years :pachaha:
