All these damn services need you to enter your SSN so much that I have it memorized. If I get dementia or a head injury then I'm fukked though because I don't know where my card is.

Did you keep your SS card in your wallet?:dwillhuh:

Never, I dont keep anything on me, besides my bank card. Had some time off these past couple off weeks. So I was doing a lot off Cleaning and rearranging.

And at some point I wasnt paying attention, and most likely threw it away, with my ID too.

Goofy behavior :snoop:

I have no idea where my SS card is. Haven’t seen it in well over a decade. See no reason to replace it. Is there any reason I’d ever need it? I have a passport, so I never use it for employment.

They've always said the same to me whenever I have to provide it and I'm looking at them like, you see this shyt was done a LONG ass time ago fukk you blaming me for? Card was laminated before I even became self aware. :mjlol:

How did I lose it or how have I lived without it?

If the former, I dunno. Haven’t seen it since I was a kid or really young adult. Never walked around with it, was kept in a certain place; Remember looking once and it wasn’t there and we’ve since moved. :yeshrug:

If the latter, I haven’t needed it since I have a passport which proves both identity and citizenship. I haven’t used the SS card since long before I “lost” it and can’t think of a scenario where I’ll need it going forward.

When I first realized it was missing, I was worried about ID theft, but I had a monitoring service that would notify me if anyone ever ran my credit. It was just $5/mo. Great service, had it for about a decade, but Chase has since stopped offering it.

And when I lived in Maryland, I could literally just walk right in, and be out in 15 minutes.

DC shiit is different
