Roman. Over Joe. As in Samoa Joe?
HAHAHAHAhaha nah. Not ever. Joe has pulled watchable matches out post-chest-tattoo Steiner. Roman has managed to drag a nearly mediocre match out of Daniel Bryan.
Putting my bias aside - because I wouldn't personally put Roman over Bazooka Joe, nevermind Samoa Joe - There's something to be said about Roman being top 10 on RAW currently. But that's because the position he's in doesn't have him working with 'lesser' talents. He's put with people who can carry him, not people he has to carry. So he has matches that aren't terrible because his opponents aren't. (That being said, it isn't like Randy Orton is lighting the world on fire in the same position for much longer, so I give Roman credit there.)
That being said, he ain't half the wrestler Cesaro or Joe are, and never will be. Because that isn't what he wants to be, or is expected to be. He'll be a sports entertainer in this company for a long time, and have variations of the same match he's having now five years from now, because wrestling =/= sports entertainment. Maybe one day Roman will find himself watching some World of Sport or something and decide to get his Cena on and try and become a wrestler after the fact, but for our sake, I hope not. Ain't trying to see him attempting no Malenko shyt.
*I do, however, damn sure want to see Braun steal Ricochet's rolling vertical suplex spot. He got the strength to do that shyt on dudes at least Cena's size. Turn the second into a catch powerslam, use that as his big match finisher like the jumping tombstone.*
