Everywhere...You never there.
The motorcycle injury humbled him because dude was a fukking a$$hole at Duke and with the Bulls. At least Bobby Hurley can still be respected as a Dukie. Not because of him being white , but because Hurley didn't carry himself as a douche before his SUV accident.

If you're a Bulls fan, you have every right to :pacspit: this guy.

If that's the case, then there's definitely no trace of it now.

Partied with him...he meets no strangers. Very personable.

The New York Times profile of ESPN college basketball analyst Jay Williams is a fascinating read about an athlete reaching the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. It explores his thoughts of suicide following a devastating motorcycle accident that derailed his NBA career.

It also contains allegations that his Chicago Bulls teammates would smoke marijuana before games during the 2002-2003 season. Then a rookie, Williams was also surprised by their habit of gambling on team trips.

“I didn’t know how to handle it at first,” Williams said. “I didn’t know how to be around it. Guys were on the bench, trying to kick it to girls in the stands, having ball boys run over. I mean, some guys were high.”

Asked to clarify, Williams said: “There were guys smoking weed before games. Guys asking in the middle of the game, ‘Do you smell popcorn?’ ”

He noticed the nervous laughter around the kitchen table. “You think I’m playing,” Williams said. “Can you imagine! Guys are gambling. They’re playing dice in the back of the plane for money. Like, we just lost by 30 tonight! And we’ve got a game tomorrow! It bugged me out.”

Here are his teammates that year. Wonder which ones he’s talking about.

Jay was amazing college player but his style and qualities didn't translate well to the Pro level. The motorcycle injury just made his end more dramatic.

His rookie campaign was underwhelming: 9 & 4 on 40% shooting as a full-time starter in a bad team? not really good.

Though a lot of Duke players don't pan out in the NBA, Jason Williams would have been a star and would have led the Bulls out of the doldrums even sooner. With that jumper and that dribble the sky was the limit for him. He struggled his rookie season, but he still had some spectacular moments. I remember him dropping a monster triple double on someone that just showed what was soon to come. He definitely would have fit in even better in this era of shoot first point guards.

How come every comeback story there is note how so and so wanted to commit suicide but someone came right in time. Stop that, if you really wanted to commit that, you could have easily done it. Stop trying to make your success story more inspiring and dramatic with that BS. Am I supposed to care that his loser admitted to speeding and hitting a pole?

shouldnt be riding bikes in the first place

I hate him cuz this a$$hole shouldn't have been on that bike. He fukked the franchise. These players talkin that bulls ain't loyal shyt sure don't seem to remember the bulls paying his contract out when they could have voided that shyt to Bolivia.

Yep this is exactly how i feel. He knew damn well he shouldnt of been on that bike. Its stupid as hell to even mess with bikes when you're an athlete tbh. You got the rest of your life to mess with bikes, just hold off until you're done with your playing career.
