I think the criteria should be best rappers who were expected to deliver classic album but didn’t. Then it easily becomes a two man race between Jada and Canibus. Most of the others listed in this thread never had classic album expectations even though some of them did in fact deliver classics.

And :dead: at anyone who said It’s Dark...was not a classic. Jesus.

Depends on if we count mixtapes or not. If we don't count mixtapes then I'd say Jadakiss, Joe Budden, Meth, Pusha T or Kurupt. .Would've included Royce but still deciding how I feel about Book of Ryan which I LOVED. If we include mixtapes then I'm taking off Jada and Budden.

Y’all east coast nikkas don’t consider tical by method man a classic?

Classic in my book.jus wondering what the feel of it is up there
I don't. It's got banging production, but Meth was sleepwalking lyrically on Tical. I guess you can blame the rush job, since the original was lost in RZA's basement flood
On Tical 2000 Meth was in top form lyrically, but half of the production from the B team was whatever, and it was too long.

So Meth is my choice. I think he has 3 dope joints with Tical, T2000, and 4:21. But not that hands down classic

Only producers doing something special were the soul heads. If Jada did a record with Just Blaze and Kanye it woulda been better then the blueprint

The "soul heads" weren't really giving Jada anything special either. "Gettin It In" is hardly Blueprint caliber and I can't really remember what songs Just did for Jada.

Jada would've fared better getting Alchemist to produce an album for him. I would say The Neptunes, but nothing outside of "Knock Yourself Out" was dope. The only other great Neptunes/Jada collabo is "I'm Not You" from Clipse's Lord Willin.
