50 said dont like ja and people said fukk ja
50 had better music at the time his run was legendary

people already laid it out for yall.

jarule had no real authentic rap fanbase behind him by this point. all his fans were fickle radio listeners. he had no real fanbase. thats one of the reasons why it was so easy to kick him in the ass. mix that with the feds and all the corporate bullchit, and you'll realize that 50 didnt really do much.

if 50 cent really ended jarule, then he couldve ended the countless other rappers that he beefed with. most of them chitted on 50.

50 didnt make it cool to not sing on songs. there was a whole avalance of sing-songy love raps all over the radio for the remainer of the year. 50 cent himself had that 21 questions bullchit out at the time.

jarule wasnt the 1st or last artist to get booed on 106th & park. they stopped asking for crowd commentary for a reason. but yea, the 50 beef did have alot to do with jarule getting chitted on by the fickle crowd(see the 1st comment).

Where in what the fukk i typed did you see "boo, booing, booed" or any other muthafukkin variation of that shyt?:deadmanny:
All i said was
They premiered the song from Last Temptation shyt and when they went into the crowd and asked these lil muthafukkas if they were feeling it they wasnt
Only reason why i even slightly remember this shyt is cause i was at my brother bm spot and they was always watchin that shyt
plus the shyt was just funny how the audience reacted after being on this man dikk for so goddamn long
he was already losing steam
Maybe 50 gave him that extra nudge to push the man over the edge but he was entering "we tired of your ass" status before 50 started really blowin up like that
like that 50 ja shyt was some new shyt over here
muthafukka been whinin about Ja Rule since that murder 4 life video:mooneyha:

BET Awards 2002. :scusthov: OVERKILL.

last temptation was already a dropoff from the success of the previous 2 albums before the 50 cent thing became prominent.

thats when they were crossing over into r&b radio and 106th & park.

also FYI, people that go out of their way to label the most random things as fakkit chit or "faq shyt" are usually the types that arent or werent getting any puss.

:comeon:

Murder Inc didn't have enough resources to fight Aftermath/Shady G-Unit powerful media connections with MTV, Major Hip Hop Magazines,

All Jimmy Iovine or Em had to do is threaten to refuse granting interviews performances features etc. Which will effect any media organizations viewership/ profits.

Then the Murder Inc. label got Raided and charged by the Federal Government. Which is devasting no other label In history was targeted in that manner.

Ja Rule did nothing to hurt his own demise people fail to remember how extremely profitable Murder Inc connection to Def Jam was. Murder Inc basically saved Def Jam Island Music Group at the time.

Ja Rules run was one of the most impressive moments in Hip Hop. His ability to vocalize and rap kept him in many radio formats and demographics even old people who didn't really listen to Rap knew who he was.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure lots of people saved Def Jam

Russell Simmons said that Warren G's "Regulate . . . G Funk Era" actually saved the company so he could sell it.

Then, Roc-A-Fella, Ruff Ryders, and Murder Inc. . . came after than and kinda stabilized it.

I have to say I was thinking about this exact moment when reading this article. It felt like this was the moment where Ja was completely losing it in the public (commercial) eye. However, I also remember thinking, "damn, 50 has everybody s***ting on Ja now." I remember the kid in the audience saying something about people being tired of the singing. I'm probably not remembering his exact words correctly, but I do remember that at the time thinking the reaction to the song was a product of 50 smearing Ja's name/career. That video debut was in 2003, and 50 already had the whole Back Down diss and Wanksta video mocking Ja getting his chain snatched in 2002.

Regardless, I definitely remember feeling like the debut of that video was a standout moment in Ja's downfall.
