I remember in 1998, I just got out the shower and my parents were watching Game 6 of the Finals. As soon as I entered the room, I heard Costas with the call and the shot went in to put the Bulls back up for good :wow:

I didn't expect that to be his last shot as a Bull. But I'm so glad he came here to DC for a couple years and really energized basketball in the nation's capital.. even though he was a shell of himself, made horrible moves as a GM like trading away Rip Hamilton for Stackhouse... but he did clear the cap space and we got Gilbert Arenas right after he retired and was fired by Abe Polin.

I truly am thankful I got to watch him growing up. No joke. It can be redundant but... 100% the GOAT.

I remember when his pops died. I've never felt so bad for someone I didnt know. Random.... but he's part of most of our lives. Havent thought about how much of an effect he had on my athletic career in a while. Good thread. Homage.

I remember that too. I was up late as hell that night, flipping thru channels, trying wait until "Skinemax" came on lol and I saw on CNN them talking about MJ was missing..... I was on some :damn::to: A lil nikka was terrified. Then an hour later the got the story right and said his pops was killed.

Then the next thing you know, he's playing baseball.

Magic and Daly told the stories about Michael going days without sleep. How Magic and Michael would be up all night playing cards and drinking, then Michael would go straight from that to playing 36 holes with Daly to practice and then to a game. That's why it's funny when people try and say there's no way that Michael would be out partying before a finals game. From all accounts he did that ALL the time.

And yet you got people saying Jordan wouldn't have balled in this era when he already has proven that he could play with todays players. The only reason people shyt on his Wizard years is because they never went to the playoffs and he had a few struggles both seasons. He had a few games under double digits which should be expected at his age he was at but he was still over 20 a game and had several 40 point games and that 50 point game too. That is the sole reason why when cats act like he wouldn't have been the best in this era in his prime I just hit them with the :snoop: and keep it moving.

damn man, what the hell were you doing in the shower while the game was on? I thought the whole country was glued to the tv for that game.

Jordan is the GOAT but I hate when nikkas say, "no one will ever do what Jordan did". Brehs, someone better always comes along. Whether it takes 5 years, 10 years or 50 years someone will be better than Jordan one day. Humans PROGRESS as time goes on.. Not to take anything away from Jordan I just hate when yall go too far.

Breh, Kobe and Lebron can't average 50% FG while scoring over 30+ PPG NOW with no hand-checking, and the generations are becoming less talented, sh*t half the league now can't hit an open jumpshot on a consistent basis. Look what Kobe had to do to hit 81 breh. There will never be another Jordan. And we not even talking about the mental aspect, Jordan treated every game like a life or death situation. Another Lebron, probably :pachaha:

As a younger cat, I used to hate Jordan. I know....the errors of youth:snoop:

I was a huge Sonics fan and....and he denied Payton and Kemp a ring.

But with age comes experience. Jordan's whole career is something that will NEVER be reproduced. He did shyt that I've never seen before. He had that killer instinct that I've yet to see from any player today. He wasn't on some post game buddy buddy shyt that I see from these soft ass players now. shyt, I don't think he even liked his teammates. Jordan wanted to demoralize your team, your city, you, your family, and your future children just so you would know to never forget that he was better than your favorite player.

And he married a snowflake and makes it clear he don't fukk with no nikkas.:mjpls:

Didn't Jordan smack up Steve Kerr and Buechler? I heard he got at Horace Grant too. :wow:
