How long you guys think this run is gonna last?

It's been quite good for the past several years...but I'm kinda spooked that we're due for a bit of a drop.

Thoughts?

Have you seen the movie The Big Short?

If our president successfully goes after those trade deals, I'd expect massive drops, but it's hard to say. The writing is on the wall for some large changes these next four years. I even have a pet theory that Trump has a mandate to crash our economy, and then "rebuild it" the right way.

The big question I have is whether "Giving the power of Washington back to the people" means taking it away from Wall Street. Hard to tell.

I think the economy will hold until mid 2018.

But it's obvious we're in some deep shyt. Too many massive bubbles. Trade deals ending. Europe's bank problems. Etc etc...

According to the NBER, there have been 11 business cycles from 1945 to 2009, with the average length of a cycle lasting about 69 months, or a little less than six years. The average expansion during this period has lasted 58.4 months, while the average contraction has lasted only 11.1 months.

Cyclically, we are due for a downturn. Hopefully it's the 2001 kind of downturn and not the 2008 kind. :lupe:

Going to be worse than 2008...

The market is over inflated...

Baby boomers approaching 70 are going to take a lot of money out...Add to it a moron president deregulating Wall Street and we are headed for a colossal crash...

Buy gold...

That crash under king moron :whew:

How will I know when to move my contributions to more conservative funds brehs? I still have an old 401k from my last job I still maintain.

Please put me on game to take advantage of this bubble and get out of volatile funds before the crash.

May sound like a newb question but I'm going to ask:

In the case of a crash, like with The Big Short, are their ways to bet against the market besides put options on individual stocks for the common every day investor? I want the opportunity to ride the high and then bet that it crashes thus making money regardless..
