Both, I'll try to add if it dips today at market open because of the split news. And the day of the split we'll probably see a sell off or short attack so I plan to add then alsoYou adding more pre or post split
A reverse stock split is almost always a bearish move to attempt to starve off delisting by a borderline to very low price stock. Helios and Matheson the Moviepass parent did them and still got delisted. The good stock split is a forward stock split. So in theory they are doing this to inflate their stock's price???and also to gain new rich sweetheart investors???
but only time and due diligence will tell how this turns out.The CRMD reverse stock split is real tricky but it all boils dont to do you believe in Nuetrolin? As it's been said many times in this thread r/s are usually bad but thats when when a company has no prospects or in jeopardy of delisting, none of which apply to Cormedix.
I try to do extensive research on both bullish and bearish sentiment because all help you form your own conclusions. Some bears and shorts say Cormedix may have done a r/s because if they FDA ask for another trail they wont have to do a r/s if it tanks under a dollar.
I keep that in the back of my mind but ultimately believe thats not the case because when they had the meeting with the FDA the outcome would probably not have been them giving us the go ahead to file for LPAD. Dont forget the FDA gave us fast track status last year and stopped trails. To understand why they said they did this you gotta understand "outstanding shares" and the public float. With the outstanding shares low as well as the float high demand will push the price really high really fast. You have to think with them presenting at two investor conferences next week, a week before the R/S and news with the FDA coming every couple of months, and a possible partnership, its clear what they are trying to do. Now yes, it does burn us retail investors and small investors in the short term because they are playing for the institutions now. But honestly that is the only way we will probably see a massive return because the people who are in this stock now are not in it for the long term and dont understand these businesses. We should've been over $3 by now but some investors did not properly read the news and sold off.
And lastly if you did your due diligence its not hard to find biotech companies who benefited heavily from R/S a couple years ago ARNA did a 10 for 1 stock split for $11 they broke news a couple months after and the are $46 today. Or more recently BPTH who did a 10 for 1 stock split January 17 and sold off only for institutions and big hedge funds to come in and take most of the shares. They dropped news in march and went to over $70 and is now around $30 fron $10 before news.
Im giving away so much game in this threadbut only time and due diligence will tell how this turns out.

I'm curious what's your profession?! I'm in tech but man you have tons of financial and stock knowledge. I'm trying to be like you![]()
thanks brehA reverse stock split is almost always a bearish move to attempt to starve off delisting by a borderline to very low price stock. Helios and Matheson the Moviepass parent did them and still got delisted. The good stock split is a forward stock split.
A reverse stock split is pretty much never a good look. It's just a way to artificially inflate the stock price instead of naturally having it go up through good business practices that attract investors over the long term.Helios and Matheson was a failing company with no money and no sales. and like most companies who do a reverse stock split out of desperation they continued to fail. A forward stock split of 1 for 5 at $1.80 would make CRMD .36 cents so no, thats not always a good thing just like RS isn't always a bad thing. Forward splitting would do the exact opposite of what management say they are trying to achieve. Which is get Investors who cant or wont invest in companies under $5
thanks breh
Im a filmmaker, I dont have a finance background, but I have been studying the stock market and business in general for more than 10 years. Any company I buy and believe in, I do tons of research on. I bought Cormedix sometime in September as a quick play, but as I did more research I seen that their drug Nuetrolin has a high chance of getting approved. All the knowledge I have is from studying hard about the company and the sector I'm invested in. Literally every single day this year I've been studying CRMD and FDA approvals. This is why I can write paragraphs and talk about it so fluidly because I've actually done the research and have proper knowledge of the situation.
I'm not trying to sound like some financial guru or anything I'm just passing on all the knowledge I've obtained. I only talk about stocks and businesses I know about and have studied, this is why I believe in Warren Buffetts method of only having a handful of companies because you can do proper research on it. Not to toot my own horn but if you read my post in the marijuana thread you'll see about 90% of what I said came true and thats only because I studied the sector and the markets extensively. That's all it takes is doing a lot if research from multiple outlets
Trust me, I'm very familiar with stock splits. Like I said in my other post look at ARNA and BPTH and how those biotech stocks handled their reverse splits and how they increased about 400%. It all comes down to understanding the business, they don't need cash and their drug has all indicators or being approved. If you think they may fail and did this as a preemptive measure thats a good argument. But for this company in general we can't look at reverse splits on a broad scale and judge CRMD on that without looking at the position they are in.A reverse stock split is pretty much never a good look. It's just a way to artificially inflate the stock price instead of naturally having it go up through good business practices that attract investors over the long term.
A reverse stock split is pretty much always a sign of trouble. It's not something that's done from a good position. If people aren't inventing in the company now this accounting trickery isn't gonna change that. At best maybe this starves off a potential delisting until either they do or don't get FDA approval. Thing is they weren't exactly facing delisting as it was. Maybe they thought things would get worse before it got better.
My point about a forward stock split is it's something a good healthy company does. A reverse stock split isn't.
Im looking for it to dip closer to my average before I buy more. After the reverse stock split I expect a sell off or maybe some manipulation by market movers to get cheap shares. So im also looking to buy more then also.I hate to keep bringing up BPTH but that's what happened in that situation, the stock sold off after the split only for large institutions to come in and take all the retail sales. When it took off it was too late to buy back in because at a certain point there wasn't any shares available to buy. CRMD is presenting at two large investor conferences next week. Right before the split you see what im getting at? The stock market is filled with the same type of people in government who only look out for themselves. Often big buyers push the price down to scare retail investors to sell out of fear and they take them afterwards. It all comes down to do you believe the company will be successfulSo do u recommend buying cormedix now?
