3 things you can do it you own the crib:

- kill your neighbor
- "tolerate" it and get your $ up and buy a house
- spend the $ to find an acoustic solution to block sounds. If you are somewhat handy, a regular person can do this. It's just a matter of you taking the time and spending the money. Cant put a price on piece of mind

Even if/when you buy a house noise will be an issue. On the inside your house is like 99% wood construction like most homes and ALOT of new builds have no acoustic sound transmission materials inside. So you're gonna have to spend the $ anyway if you care about this stuff — and you should

Then you have your neighbors in houses all around you. Some of these damn houses are so close to one another that you can see in the next house like its down the damn hall. Fingers crossed that they aren't wilding out and constantly blasting music and shyt.

Last time I lived under someone in an apartment, I had a noise issue. I dont think I ever left a note though because I was scared of who lived in the apartment.

It was a couple, and not even one week after they had moved in, I could hear them fighting. After one got done beating on the other (you could hear the screaming and crying), 30 minutes or so later, you would hear the mattress squeaking and the loud moaning. I was perplexed.

This went on for months; they truly seemed crazy to me, always fighting then fukking. Sometimes I'd hear the one crying while the abuser walked around singing gospel very loudly; he was very heavy-footed and his voice would echo all over the apartment.

One day they came out of the apartment, and I saw it was actually two men...who I thought had been a woman screaming all that time was really a man - very petite and cute. The other man was quite large and slovenly. I looked at him and was wondering why these two were a couple in the first place. Lookswise, they didn't seem equally yoked at all, but I digress.

One day, I saw the smaller one land past my patio railing. He had jumped off the second floor patio upstairs to get away from his boyfriend. Early morning, afternoon or nighttime, they didn't care - they kept the antics going.

There was no way in hell I was going to confront these folks, and even if I did, I would not have known what to say. I figured, if the big one would regularly swing on his own boyfriend/ lover, there is no telling what he would do to a woman he didn't know.

You heavy foot nikkas gon learn

But nah I just knocked on my neighbors door and tell them face to face. This note leaving is some p*ssy shyt.

They had a toddler that WOULD NOT STOP RUNNING. I told em listen. 10am to 10pm the lil muhfukka can run around as he pleased. Past 10 I don't want to hear shyt.

No issues since it's like 8 of them in a one bedroom they don't want any issues with management. Plus I'm cool with Grandma so she made sure lil breh stopped stomping on my fukking head at 2am :yeshrug:
.been Gucci since.

Bruh the people that used to stay over me had to have 5 nikkas in a one bedroom, first it was 2 chicks, and the one chick nikka, then one night apparently it must have been a dust up, because it was a lot of yelling and one chick was on the balcony and the other was calling her all types of bytches, as her people was moving her shyt out to a pick up truck that night, well then it was her old boy plus some other dude, I’m guessing her family or something not sure but that nikka had 2 kids including a youngin who had to be 5 he used to have the ceiling sounding like jackson st marching practice, but the cherry on top was he would randomly decide to go on the balcony and be our section of apts Dj playing music off his speaker as if we all wanted to hear his choice in music, after several complaints and speaking to him eventually they moved out,

in comes the next couple, dude walked around like he had cinder blocks for feet, and they was constantly arguing, and they had a puppy that would whine a lot, and the dude was on some hotep shyt :francis:

They calmed down a bit but because Ida did damage to the roof is the only reason they gone

I think it's more complicated than that. Going by the handwriting and wording this is a woman. Just from this thread alone, you can see the variety of responses that people give. Some people think this was reasonable, you thought it was passive-aggressive, others said they would respond by being louder and more aggressive in their actions.

This woman is the downstairs neighbor, they're strangers to each other and she has no idea what sort of response she might get from this request. Do you think she should've put herself into a potential in-person conflict instead of the letter she wrote?

Nah

Might seem irrelevant but you can tell alot about a person from their handwriting

I got a townhouse instead of a regular up/down apartment because I couldn't stand to hear kids running around at all hours of the day and confronting your neighbor never seems to resolve anything.

The extra $150-200 a month is worth it to have extra peace of mind.
