Musically and as an overall package it was done very well.

However I still think it was a let down to a lot of people who were expecting a 2001 type album. Not necessarily a repeat of the whole album but I think they were looking for more radio friendly songs with catchy lyrics and hard hitting, yet simple Dre beats.

Dr Dre albums don't feel like artsy albums. That's what this one was.

Exactly what i said in the giant stickied thread over here when the album dropped. Told
yall so-called "lovers" of the album would diss it after a few months.

i don't think there will be a "Memorable" album in this day n age, because with that logic, some of the classics from the 90's wouldn't even survive if the internet was around during that time like the way it is now. Albums take time to marinate and have to be played more than once to actually gain it's appreciation from the listener. Compton will be viewed as a classic a few years from now, some of you just don't understand it. "Deep water" "one shot kill", "its all on me", "All in a days work", "Animal", "Diary", "For the love of money", "Medicine Man" "Just another day" are all classic songs on that album, you guys are saying this album is "average", gtfoh with that BS, yall gotta learn to sit down and live with an album for a month and not bump anything else for it really to speak to you.

i actually took the time to bump this project without listening to anything else for a month and i'm astounded as to how anyone with a good hear can hate on this.
@bolded

STOP! fukking hate this generation. Just say YOU liked it.

People seem confused with CLASSIC and "i love this album" thing, in general. The most overthrown word in hip-hop. Just cuz its Dre doesnt make it a classic, and i got major love for Dre. So gtfoh with that shyt.

Loose Cannon, Animals, DEEP Water, Darkside/Gone, Talking To My Diary, One Shot Kill. Damn near every song on the alb bumps and the overall production and mix is the bear you're gonna hear in this day and age.

The biggest problem with this album was the first track was by far the weakest and completely threw people off. Add to that the sound and delivery wasn't what people expected and they gave up after one listen.

Give it a other listen with open ears and you can see the genius in it.

I like the album but the fact it is only streamed on Apple Music is what is messed me up from really listening to it.
