That's the way I see it as well. He'll be ostracized no matter how fire/garbage the album is. Detox is 2001 Washington Wizards Jordan coming back after two three-peats... it should never happen.

I'm pretty sure it didn't take him 10 years to figure this out, it just took him that long to tell us it was dead. Considering he's putting a new album out in a week, it seems clear that he gave up on Detox a while ago. You know how meticulous he is with putting music out, so who knows how long he's been working on the new joint. I'm just shocked he was able to keep it a secret until now.

The best way to keep something a secret is to not tell anyone and have a cover. It's possible the people on it didn't even know what the tracks were for. Dre is known to record alot with people. Most probably thought it was for Detox or some shyt.
