Was just about to say. Catchy flow, the "Yeah!" and "Whew!" ad-libs make it hype, the beat is crack (Shout out to Cardiak!) and my man Jon Connor deserves the attention.

You gotta understand this was with a week's promotion, released (at first) only through Apple Music, and was leaked like an hour after it dropped if that. Plus, it's rap, which Apple Music ain't really campaigning for outside of Drake.

2001 was rap in a WHOLE nother situation.

No it's not. Chronic 2001 only sold 500 K first week and that was an era when albums were selling like crazy. 275 K in this era, with little to no promotion, no singles, nothing is incredible. Plus it's more like a SDTK than anything. If this had the full rollout of a real album he'd probably do 500 K again first week. But the way it's been released these are great numbers.
