Yeah, this shyt is :trash:

I'm not too worried that this dude is actually gonna go anywhere, though. I mean, think about it...the whole "white rapper" thing isn't as big of a deal nowadays as it was when Eminem came out. That was what, 16 years ago? Plus, despite the fact that he's now obviously way past his prime, Em WAS dope, original, and creative back in the day.

Basically...I don't think that being white automatically guarantees that someone's gonna blow up. White people gravitated towards Eminem for obvious reasons...this shyt is just wack, regardless of skin color.

I didn't know DOC and Dre were back on speaking terms. Usually they beef with each other for a while, work together for 3 weeks, then beef again for another couple years. Been doing that since 1995.

very sad, dude had his demo written by DOC and that's how he got on :scust:

This is the most surprising thing about all this. You figure DOC, with the track record he had and amount of experience he has working with Dre, would have written something better than this.

meh.... Dre has signed new artists / announced he has worked with a certain new artist probably about 40-50 times since the mid90s when they started Aftermath. just another dude who gets to work with Dre for a couple of years & when he doesn't blow up he's just another name up there with all the others u never heard from again. the fact that he is white won't make a difference. Em, 50, Game, Kendrick are the only ones who blew up when they were on Aftermath, Xzibit benefitted from Dre/Em co-sign and that's pretty much it. Joell Ortiz still has a somewhat successful career (compared to the other ppl who were actually signed and left/were dropped from the label) because he had a small following before Aftermath and ended up being in a somewhat successful group.

They've been on good terms for awhile. Apparently DOC was giving an apprenticeship to Kendrick Lamar when he first got signed

^^ wishes he wasn't a CAC but is

I don't worry about white guys taking over Hip Hop just like I don't worry about white guys taking over the NBA.

MOST LIKELY hes not going to get a push because Dre actually has dumped off more people than he's blown up at this point.

The question is, when no one remembers this guy in 6 months, will YOU come back and admit that crying about CACs taking over Hip Hop is absurd and something that's been said since VANILLA ICE and hasn't happened?? I mean wasn't Macklemore supposed to be 'running shyt' right now?

sorry cant do that, the threat is still looming:sas2:.....with each white rapper that blows up more will get deals, more will get pushes and big budgets....u think iggy getting a push wasnt due partly to macklemores success? one white rapper cant takeover hiphop,we worry about the chain reaction:scust:....you really think Interscope who had success with Iggy, aint gon push a white rapper who has a Dr Dre cosign:mjlol:

ill admit im wrong if they dont even make the attempt to push this dude at sum point, but thats about it.

Iggy got a push because of Nicki's success, not Macklemore. Iggy was already making music and getting her "buzz" out there before he blew up. Let's not act like Macklmore kicked off Iggy as if they didn't realize you could market a white girl pop rapper in the form of Fergie from Black Eyed Peas

Speaking of Macklemore, no one cares about him anymore. Outside of his gimmicky single, he has nothing. This was the same guy who everyone kept saying was going to dominate Hip Hop.

This 'chain reaction' was supposed to happen with the Beastie Boys....then Vanilla Ice....then Eminem....but each and every time they are the sole white guys on a raft in a pacific ocean of talented black artists. It's seriously like worrying about the NBA going all white because Kevin Love went to the Cavs. Just like in basketball, in Hip Hop, generally speaking, black males are the best at it. That isn't going to change. No matter how hard people want to promote Kevin Love or Dirk Nowitski, they still are not quite Lebron James or Kevin Durant.

For every pushed 'white rapper' there are 5 more talented black artists whos music will push them ahead. That is why even tho Macklemore won a grammy (snuffing Kendrick Lamar) and had pop radio spinning his single, no one cares about his next album and people are waiting on Kendrick Lamar.
