The part that I'm not seeing being discussed, are we American citizens or not?
Because if we are, then this government should be creating federations (as they did the native americans) with a body politic, that would ensure that this would not happen if those funds are dispersed. If you leave a powerless, oppressed, disenfranchised etc people to that kind of money sure, alot of mishandling will take place. But if we are citizens here , then qualified black economist, policy makers and law enforcement should be able to get this done and ensure your citizens don't screw the funds over. What Dr Phil is really exposing is that we as black Africans in America are sincerely seen as a separate entity in this country that we are in fact legal citizens in. This is why they don't value our issues as their issues it's "their issues" or black folks issues. And the only thing they are willing to throw at our issues is containment , making sure our issues don't spill over and hurt their bottom line. And it's mismanagement of government considering its their monopolizing of resources and crooked policies that contribute a ton to our issues.

The discussion of how people would spend their reparations is useless dialog that prolongs the conversation. Where is the same energy when the feds pump millions to billions in failing companies? Also, where is that discussion regarding universities sitting on $100m endowments and still raise tuition and fees. Yet, when it comes to blacks folks, people want to act like accountants and verify itemized expenditures.
