Yeah they basically thought she was a gold digger cuz Kobe met her on a rap video set when he was like 21 and she was 19 or something. Tbh, she did fit the part of video ho just based on look and demographics, but as we know, it turns out she was a real one…even though she wasn’t shooting in the gym.
Kobe’s family shoulda deaded the beef from time but you know how some people make up their minds and won’t change them out of pride. My bet is that’s what happened.
Still, I’d break them off some change here and there if I was Vanessa because no matter what they still raised the man she loved dearly and should get some credit for that even if they had the wrong idea about her.
My first kid’s family was like this with me and talked all kinds of shyt to me when his mom died, expecting me to be a bad single father and whatnot. But they’ve since changed their ways and we cool now and I help them out when I can. Different situation but similar also in some ways. Life is too short to carry unnecessary grudges.

Being too compassionate can fukk you over in the end. I would be ice cold to his parents if I was her if all the facts regarding their relationship was true.
Seen it too many times where people were walked over, disregarded, etc when they tried to show compassion to family members.

Maybe Kobe was wrong for that. Not saying his parents didn't do anything to deserve that but if this man was jumping from HS to the Pros and Marrying in his early 20s then its obvious he was making a lot of irrational decisions that worked in his favor but nobody bats a 1000% when doing that tho.
