Yeah the walking annoyed me. But once you get those portcrystals and put them in strategic places it makes it much more enjoyable.
There was a ferrystone glitch a player found that could only be done in Volcanic Island camp that Capcom shouldn't have patched :francis:

The player that found the expoit waited for a random saurian attack to do the farm but I didn't have time for that and tried to see if Harpy bait would work:

:wow:

This game has GOAT level gameplay and the open world feels alive, but there just isn't a lot of content in this to justify a second playthrough once you finish.

Capcom threw this game in the bushes. They made a lot of money off an inferior sequel. It’s definitely not better than the first game until they drop a Dark Arisen like dlc
That's what my fingers crossed for. That Dark Arisen made DD1 a much more better and complete game. Hopefully they release something in the same line. The lack of enemy variety was so annoying lol

Them cutting down the amount of equipped skills and gear was a weird choice as well :to:

Yeah overall I enjoyed the game but I also felt like it was a half assed effort. They just threw it out to shut us up who have been calling for DD2 for years. But it's a formula that has so much potential

Low key this game was trash and a cheap remake of the original. Kinda mad I made myself finish it. Not every game has to be a classic

I meant to comment on this days ago.

"DD2" for better or worse is exactly the same as "DD1" before "Dark Arisen".

I don't just mean that because the games are so similar, I mean the exact same complaints and how it was received.

So we won't be able to really judge this game until a DLC drops.

And Capcom recently (in the last few months) mentioned "DD2" as a franchise they hope to....I don't remember the wording, expand, build upon, something like that....so I'm kinda confused where the "there will be no DLC" talk is coming from.

I realize Itsuno left Capcom but he didn't even direct "Dark Arisen", that was Kento Kinoshyta.

DD1 w/o BBI was definitely a more complete game than anything in DD2.

I missed my underground cave levels. Everything in DD2 felt above ground and linear. They forced old boy to wait as long as they did to make the game, then rug pulled him.

Cold world.

Started playing this game last month on and off. It's cool. The movement works overall but it definitely feels dated right out the gate. I do like the story and the world is interesting overall. I appreciate the lack of hand holding in the mission structure but it does have it's moments where it's a little annoying. It's definitely a departure from standard missions. This game often gives you very little direction of any.

'Go speak to this guy in the jail'
You get a way point
Speak to the guy and he says he doesn't want to leave unless he can be somewhere with books.
At this point you get no additional way points or clues as to where you need to go next.
The game pretty much expects you to explore, and eventually come across different areas.
In this instance, when you do find the place with books, you don't get an update or any new information.
The game expects you to know you should go back to where that guy in the jail was and tell him about this place.
